The
SESSION

Processes
In
MPE/iX,

session
is

access.

OGEN
can

to

the
ancestor
of
all
pro cesses
in
MPE/iX,

SESSION

ancestor

sessions

RETURN

SESSION.
SESSION

to

(CI)
pro cess,
commonly
referred
to
as
the
Ro ot
CI.
The
system
pro cess
JOB
is
the
common
ancestor
of
all
jobs
on
the
system.
An
attempt
to
start
a
job
results
in
a
message

to
JOB.
JOB
directs
a
JSMAIN
pro cess
to
accomplish
its
task
of
establishing
the
en
vironmen
t
for
running

jobs

MPE/iX

The

Interpreter
Process
The
CI
is
a
pro cess
that
pro
vides

teractive
access

MPE/iX

system.

CI

CI)

for

session
logged
on
to
MPE/iX.

reads
the
commands
