Connecting the external DVD drive
1.
Connect the 9 inch USB cable on the DVD drive to the Y-connector on the power cable. (See Figure 1).
2.
Connect the USB extension cable to the Y-connector on the power cable.
3.
Plug the DVD power adapter into a convenient power outlet.
4.
Connect the USB extension cable to the USB connector on the SUV dongle on the server blade or the
server USB port.
NOTE:
Do NOT place the Y-connector between the server and the 7 ft extension cable.
