Software Requirements
The FibrChanl-00 (td) version B.11.23.0706 for HP-UX 11i v2 (or later) must be installed before installing
A5158A or A6795A host-bus adapters (HBAs) on a system.

Defects Fixed in This Version
The following defect fixes are included in the B.11.23.0706 version of the FibrChanl-00 (td) driver in the
HP-UX 11i v2 June 2007 release. To view the details of each defect fix, see the HP IT Resource Center website

The following defects occur in td version B.11.23.0512 and are fixed in td version B.11.23.0706.
•
In earlier versions of the td driver, the driver was not displaying error message when an FC cable was
disconnected. Current version of the td driver displays the following message when an FC cable is
disconnected: “Fibre Channel Driver received Link Dead Notification.”
•
In earlier versions of the td driver, the diagnostic event #23 (Fibre Channel driver has gone into
non-participating mode) with severity 'SERIOUS' was reported by the EMS framework even when a
Tachlite XL2 card is functional in the fabric topology. This defect is fixed in this release of the td driver.
•
An application that attempts to load the SNIA HBA API library as a non-root user now loads successfully.
•
Support is provided in SNIA API to display the Serial Number for a FC card, obtained from the Vital
Product Data (VPD) of the card.
•
The example program /opt/snia/demos/snia_demo.c displays the port information correctly for dual
port FC HBAs.
•
The Fabric WWN for a FC card gets cleared and is displayed as 00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00 when the fabric
connection is removed, and the card is connected to a storage device in the private loop topology.
•
The makefile /opt/snia/demos/makefile.demo supports PA-RISC build.
