Powering on the library
7. Store the panel shipping restraint hardware (three sets on each side) on the lower cabinet
frame (see Figure 6).

Powering on the library
Caution: Do not power on the library until all unpacking and installation procedures have
been followed. For more information, see the HP StorageWorks ESL E-Series Tape Library
Unpacking and Installation Guide that shipped with the library.
When the power button is pushed, the library takes approximately 10 seconds to become ready
for its internal power on sequence. After 10 seconds, the library powers on normally. The
entire power on sequence may take up to 15 minutes.
