Due to the thousands of variations in phone/computer/software combinations, it would be impossible for foneGEAR to outline every scenario, but these are among the most common: a. Your computer displays a dialogue bubble indicating that it has recognized the phone as an attached mass-storage device or disk drive. At this point the computer may open a folder showing the location of your phone or your phone’s memory card. At this point you may “drag and drop” files directly into this folder, and syncCABLE will automatically transfer them to your phone. b. Your computer displays a dialogue bubble indicating that it has recognized the phone as an attached mass-storage device or disk drive, but does not open a new folder showing the device. At this point, navigate to your computer’s “My Computer” or folder and see if your phone device is listed among the drives on your computer. If so, you may “drag and drop” files directly into this folder, and syncCABLE will automatically transfer them to your phone. c. Your computer does not display a dialogue bubble or open a new folder showing the device. Navigate to your computer’s “My Computer” or folder and see if your phone device is listed among the drives on your computer. If so, you may “drag and drop” files directly into this folder, and syncCABLE will automatically transfer them to your phone. d. Your computer does not display a dialogue bubble or open a new folder showing the device, and it is not displayed in your computer’s “My Computer” folder. You may need a driver or other phone or computer software from your cellular carrier or phone manufacturer for your syncCABLE to function properly. Please see below for information on obtaining compatibility software. Please be sure to consult with the User Guide or Operation Manual for your specific cellular phone for details on how to transfer music files or other data to your phone. If you no longer have the manual, it will typically be available on the internet site for your handset manufacturer (Motorola, BlackBerry, etc.) or on the internet site of your phone carrier (Sprint, Verizon, etc.). Troubleshooting If your syncCABLE does not immediately work as a “plug and play” device, it probably needs a driver or other software from your cellular carrier or phone manufacturer to work properly. Here are phone models that will need driver updates or other software to work properly with syncCABLE, as well as a link to download the software online: Blackberry: • 8130 (driver - https://22&dl=50A9382A58CCF511902245F09DEF9EEB&step=4) • 8800 (driver - https://22&dl=50A9382A58CCF511902245F09DEF9EEB&step=4) • Curve (driver - https://22&dl=50A9382A58CCF511902245F09DEF9EEB&step=4) Motorola: • KRZR K1 (driver - http:...
