9. When you have finished baking all the waffles and they have cooled off properly you can store them in an airtight cake tin where they will stay crispy for several weeks. 9 9. When you have finished baking the waffles, leave the waffle maker open and remove the plug from the outlet. Let the waffle maker cool off before you clean the plates with a damp cloth. Do not use any water or detergent.
