HP StorageWorks EVA4100 Starter Kit

The HP StorageWorks EVA4100 Starter Kit includes the fol owing media kits:
• HP StorageWorks EVA4100 SAN Starter Media Kit
• HP StorageWorks Command View EVA Media Kit
Use the EVA4100 SAN Starter Media Kit to install the EVA4100 in a Simple SAN
If you plan to install the EVA4100 in a Simple SAN, use the EVA4100 SAN Starter Media Kit. This media
kit includes Emulex EZPilot software, which installs the SAN components and provisions the storage
devices. A Simple SAN requires the fol owing HBA and switch:
• HP StorageWorks FC2142SR 4Gb PCI-e HBA (LPe1150)
• HP StorageWorks SAN 4/8 Base Switch
Use the HP Command View EVA Media Kit to install the EVA4100 in a complex SAN
If the EVA4100 will be part of a complex SAN or a SAN that uses other HBAs or switch models, use
the HP StorageWorks Command View EVA Media Kit to install and configure the EVA4100. Consult an
HP-authorized representative for information about supported HBAs and switches.
Using both media kits
Both media kits install HP Command View EVA. Examine the kit contents to see what other software is
included. If you want to install software from both kits, you must use the EVA4100 SAN Starter Media
Kit first.
