Always turn the smoker “OFF” by unplugging cord from electric outlet when adding water and wood, or when finished cooking. • Always allow the smoker and all components to cool completely before handling. • Before smoker can be left unattended, remaining embers and ashes must be removed. Use caution to protect yourself and your property. Place remaining embers and ashes in a noncombustible metal container and completely saturate with water. Allow ashes and water to remain in metal container for 24 hours prior to disposing. • Extinguished embers and ashes should be placed a safe distance from all structures and combustible materials. • Cover and store the smoker indoors in a dry location, out of the reach of children. • Wash water pan and cooking grills with hot, soapy water, rinse well and dry. Lightly coat water pan and cooking grills with vegetable oil or vegetable cooking spray. • Clean inside and outside of smoker by wiping off with a damp cloth. Apply a light coat of vegetable oil or vegetable cooking spray to the interior surfaces of the dome lid and smoker body to prevent rusting. • After the electric element has completely cooled, clean with a damp cloth after each use. Allow electric element to air dry outside of base pan so that all moisture evaporates completely before storing. • Clean lava rocks and lava rock pan periodically with baking soda and water solution. Rinse well and allow to air dry thoroughly before storing. • If rust appears on the exterior surface of your cooker, clean and buff the affected area with steel wool or fine grit emery cloth. Touch-up with a good high-temperature resistant paint. • Never apply paint to the interior surface. Rust spots on the interior surface can be buffed, cleaned, then lightly coated with vegetable oil or vegetable cooking spray to minimize rusting. • Always keep your smoker covered when not in use to protect against excessive rusting. No use este producto para propositos distintos a los indicados. • Para evitar descargas electricas accidentales, siempre debe de conectar este ahumador a un enchufe o interruptor de circuito de falla conectado a tierra (GFCI, por sus siglas en ingles). • Use siempre un tomacorriente de 3 cables con conexion a tierra cableado para 120 voltios que este protegido por un interruptor de circuito de falla conectado a tierra (GFCI, por sus siglas en ingles) a 15 o 20 amperios. En caso de duda, contacte a un electricista calificado. No opere este ahumador con otro electrodomestico o aparato electrico en el mismo circuito. • El ahumador se “enciende” al conectarlo a un tomacorriente. No hay interruptor de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO. Antes de conectar la unidad al tomacorriente, el ahumador debe estar totalmente preparado con la madera saborizante en su lugar, el liquido en la bandeja para agua, la carne en las rejillas y la tapa de domo sobre el ahumador. Apague siempre la unidad desconectandola del tomacorriente cuando agregue agua o termine de cocinar. • No use un cable de extension a menos que sea absolutamente necesario. Si tiene que usar uno, debiera ejercitar ciertos cuidados: a. Que sea lo mas corto posible. Use un cable de extension con conexion a tierra de 12/3 o 14/3 con una clasificacion de por lo menos 15 amperios. b. El cable debiera estar marcado con el sufijo “W-A” y una etiqueta que diga “apropiado para usar con electrodomesticos para exteriores”. c. Mantenga la conexion del cable de extension seca y elevada. El aparato y/o el cable de extension debieran estar puestos de tal manera que nadie se tropiece con ellos, ni los puedan tironear ninos o mascotas. No permita que el cable toque las superficies calientes. • No utilice este ahumador si: a. El cable o enchufe estan danados. b. El elemento electrico ha sido danado de cualquier manera. c.
