• Do not use with a damaged cord or plug. If vacuum cleaner is not working as it should,has been dropped,damaged,leftoutdoors,or dropped into water,return it to a service center. • Do not pull or carry by cord,use cord as a handle,close a door on cord,or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not runvacuum cleaner over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces. • Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug,grasp the plug,not the cord. • Do not handle plug or vacuum cleaner with wet hands. • Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked;keep free of dust,lint, hair,and anything that may reduce air flow. • Keep air,loose clothing,fingers,and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts. • Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes,matches or hot ashes. • Do not use without dust bag and/or filters in place. • Turn off all controls before unplugging. • Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasline or use in areas when they may be present. • Hold plug when rewinding onto cord reel. Do not allow plug to whip when rewinding. • Do not use the cleaner to pick up sharp hard objects, small toys, pins, paper clips,etc. They may damage the cleaner or dust bag. • Always change the dust bag after vacuuming carpet cleaners of freshener,powders and fine dust. These products clog the bag, reduce airflow and can cause the bag to burst. Failure to change bag could cause permanent damage to the cleaner. • Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. Do not put on chairs,tables,etc. Keep on floor. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS THIS VACUUM CLEANER IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY To reduce the risk of electric shock,this vacuum cleaner has a polarized plug(on blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way. Notice Before you plug in your Panasonic Vacuum Cleaner,make sure that the voltage indicated on the rating plate located at the backof the vacuum cleaner is the same as your local supply. When removing hose assembly, pull out connection pipe with pushing down two connection buttons. NOTE: Do not bend, pull and step on the hose or put anything heavy on it. B-2 Insert the hose unit into the upper end of the telescopic wand. Twist the telescopic wand so that the round hole will fit into the tab on the hose unit. (When removing the hose, push the tab down while pulling out the telescopic wand) Attach the Turbine Nozzle to the other end ( Removal as per reverse procedure) B-3 You can adjust the length of telescopic wand by pushing button. 4 C - HOW TO OPERATE YOUR CLEANER C - HOW TO OPERATE YOUR CLEANER C-1 Pull out the mains lead and put the plug into thesocket outlet. C-2 Gently press at the centre of the switch pedal toturn ON the vacuum cleaner. Press the pedal again to turn it OFF. C-3 Power control To increase or decrease the power, turn the variable power control button. C-4 Switching 3 positions. Flooring (PARQUET): Set position A Carpet (short): Set position B Carpet (long or hard to push): Set position C C-5 The curved wand of the hose is attached with a manual suction regulator, which allows you to briefly reduce the suction level. C-6 After you finish vacuuming, remove the plug fromthe wall socket and press the cord rewind pedal. When rewinding the power cord, press the cord rewind pedal by holding the plug so that it does not become damaged. C-7 Storage positionSlide the wand holder attached to turbine nozzle pipe straight into the wand supporter on the under side of the main body. C-8 Park positionFor short breaks during vacuuming, slide the wand holder attached to the turbine nozzle pipe into the wand supporter on the rear side of main body. NOTE: When you use park position, we suggest the appliance is switched off. CAUTIONS • The plug must be removed from the socket-outletbefore cleaning or maintaining the appliance. • To avoid injury, keep your fingers and hands awayfrom the beater bar. • DO NOT use hot air or hot surface to dry filters. Keepat room temperature for approximately 24 hours. • IMPORTANT: Before re-installing the washable filters, make sure they are completely dry to avoid damagingthe cleaner. D - MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING Indicator for replacing the dust bag Turn the power control to the highest setting and lift the nozzle off the floor.
