Do not carry a plugged in tool with your finger on the switch. 16. Use outdoor rated extension cords. When a tool is used outdoors, use only extension cords that are intended for outdoor use and are so marked. 17. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Do not operate a power tool when you are tired. 18. Check for damaged parts. Before using a tool, check that there are no damaged parts. If a part is slightly damaged, carefully determine if it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, proper mounting and any other conditions that may affect the operation of the tool. A part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorised service facility, unless otherwise indicated in this Instruction Manual.Defective switches must be replaced by an authorised service facility. Do not use a tool if the switch does not turn the tool on and off correctly. 19. Guard against electric shock. Prevent body contact with grounded objects such as water pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerator enclosures. 20. Use only approved parts. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use an authorised service facility to fit replacement parts. Additional safety rules for dust extraction systems Please read before use. • Do not leave appliance unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing and cleaning. • To avoid electric shock, do not expose to rain. Store indoors. • Never use in the presence of explosive liquids, vapours or explosive dust – such as coal or grain. • Never pick up asbestos or asbestos dust. • Wood dust and chips in a confined area can give rise to fire or an explosion. Keep all openings clear of any blockages. • When lifting the unit, always lift it with the handle or under rim of bucket. Beware of excess weight. • Always switch the unit off before changing attachments or connecting different power tools. • Always disconnect equipment from the appliance when it is not in use. • This machine is for dry use only and should not be used or stored outdoors in wet conditions. • This is not a trade tool and is designed for house hold applications and home handy man conditions. It can also be used as a vacuum cleaner for cleaning dust, wood shavings etc. from machines and the floor of the working area. It is not to be used for the suction of liquids. 1. Shoulder Strap 2. The filter must always be in the correct position to reduce the risk of leaks and possible damage to the vacuum. Ensure that the filter is completely covering the filter cage and that the filter bag clip (6b) is as close to the lid as possible. Ensure there are no gaps between the filter and the lid. It is very important to assemble the filter to the cage without allowing any possible leaks or tears. Any leaks will allow the picked up debris to be blown out of the blower port and back into the surrounding environment. When using your vacuum to pick up very fine dust, it will be necessary for you to empty the dust drum and clean or replace the filter at more frequent intervals to maintain peak vacuum performance.
