I- OFF To stop repeated playback Press the REPEAT key to select "OFF". 24 Systematized recording features When this unit is connected with the CD receiver (RD-VH7) through a system control cord, desired tracks can be selected while playing a CD and recorded automatically onto an MD. This function is referred to as O.T.E. (One Touch Edit). The synchronized recording with CD also possible in this configuration. Preparation • Connect the digital output of the CD receiver to DIGITAL 1 input of the MD recorder. -Q2 • Select the CD input on the CD receiver. • Load a recordable MD in the MD recorder. —QQ Display when an MD is loaded S'M ra gs s Wm lea Recordable MD Recording-pro- Playback-only tected MD MD Recording a single CD track (O.T.E.) • When the O.T.E. key is pressed during CD playback, the track being played will be replayed from the beginning and only this track will be recorded. • After the track has been recorded, the MD recorder stops and the CD player enters pause mode. • With O.T.E. recording, the recording input is automatically set to DIN CD (digital) and the recording level is automatically set to 0 dB. • It is not possible to change the recording input or recording level during O.T.E. recording. Press the stop (■) key to stop recording in the middle. Play the track to be recorded. Press the O.T.E. key. Recording all tracks on a CD (0. T.E.) Q Stop CD playback. Press the 0. Systematized recording features 25 When this unit is connected with the CD receiver (RD-VH7) through a system control cord, recording (MD) and playback (CD) can be started simultaneously so that playback sound can be recorded without the loss of any part.
