We at Jotul are very happy you have made the decision to warm your hearth with a Jotul product. Your new Jotul Allagash has inherited the benefits learned from more than 140 years of producing stoves. Jotul is the world’s largest manufacturer of solid fuel burning appliances and has been making cast iron wood and coal stoves since 1853. The Allagash incorporates the most advanced gas technology with the warm traditional style of cast iron. With proper care and operation, your new Jotul will last many, many years. The Jotul Allagash gas stove is a gravity vented gas fireplace heater. The Allagash B-Vent gas stove can only be vented vertically directly to the outside, using type B-vent pipe. The Jotul Allagash gas stove is designed to operate on NATURAL GAS or PROPANE only. For safe and efficient operation the stove is equipped with a millivolt gas control valve with a piezo ignitor. Electrical power is only required when operating the OPTIONAL forced air blower, if installed on the stove (part # 129161). Input Rates The input rate on the Allagash gas stove is 24,000 BTU/hr maximum input on the high setting for both natural gas and propane, adjusted down to 19,000 BTU/hr minimum on the low setting, for both natural gas and propane.
