yyPay channel can not be recorded correctly if you don’t insert CI or CI+ CAM. yyYou should unlock parental rating of CI CAM if you want to use timer record correctly. yyWhen you record pay channel, recorded title can be divided in to several titles according to CAM authentication. yySome of title can not be played well if title is recorded when CAM is not authenticated by this recorder. yyIf you want to record the USB HDD, Connect an USB HDD to the USB Port on the rear panel and then select the [USB HDD] on [Default Recording Device] in the setup menu. yyYou can not record two scrambled programme at the same time. ,,Note Timer Recording (Manual) You can set the timer for a total of 32 programmes, up to 22-28 days in advance. 1. While watching TV, press TIMER REC. 2. Use W/S/A/D to select the date to record, and press ENTER (b). 3. Select an item using A/D and adjust it using W/S. You can use numbered buttons to change the setting. The adjustable items are listed below. Start time Sets the start time. End time Sets the end time. Channel Sets the programme position. (If you want to display more channels, press CH LIST) Repeat Choose a desired repeat mode. (Once, Daily, Weekly or Mon-Fri) yyThe timer recording can be set from 3 minutes after the current time. yyYou should unlock parental rating of CI or CAM if you want to use timer record correctly. ,,Note 4. Press ENTER (b). 5. Select [OK] then press ENTER (b). If you input the wrong information, an error message will appear and the timer recording cannot be made. Timer Recording (EPG) You can also set the timer based on the information provided by the EPG. 1. While watching TV, press GUIDE. 2. Use A/D to select date field, and select the date of recording schedule using W/S. 3. Use A/D to select programme field, and set the programme using W/S. 4. Use A/D to select the programme list, and select a programme you want to record using W/S. 5 Press the red (R) coloured button. For the successfully scheduled programme, a red bullet mark appears. A red bullet mark may not appear for inavailable programme to record. 6. Press BACK (1) to return to the TV viewing. 7. Press TIMER REC, and check whether the schedule is registered properly or not. Canceling a timer recording You can cancel a timer recording before the timer recording actually starts. 1. While watching TV, press TIMER REC. 2. Press the red (R) coloured button. 3. Use A/DW/S to select a schedule you want to cancel. 4. Use W/S to select [Timer Record List], and press the green (G) coloured button. Select [No] and press ENTER (b) to cancel. Select [Yes] and press ENTER (b) to delete selected schedules (selected recording). Editing a timer recording You can edit a pre-scheduled timer recording before the timer recording actually starts. 1. While watching TV, press TIMER REC. 2. Press the red (R) coloured button. 3. Press ENTER (b) to display the [Record setting] menu. 4. Follow the steps 3-5 from “Timer Recording (Manual)” on page 45 to complete the editing. Instant Timer Recording You can set the recording time instantly to stop the recording automatically. 1. Use CH (W/S) to select a programme you want to record. 2. Press X REC. to start recording. 3. While recording, press A/D repeatedly to set the recording duration 4. Press ENTER (b). 5. Press Z to stop recording. yyThe standard recording time is 3hours (MAX=6hours). Depending on the remaining capacity of HDD, the recording time is somewhat flexible . yy If the unit cannot catch the signal, the recording will be pause, actual recording time can be less than the time set on timer. yyYou cannot record radio or blocked channels. yyThe quality of recording can be different on the status of the broadcast signal. yyDuring the recording, turning off by force can cause a serious problem on hard disk drive. yyRecording can be restarted when contents status is changed and it’ll separte recording title into two individual title consequently. ,,Note General Playback Playing Discs 1. Insert a disc in the disc slot. For most Audio CD, BD-ROM and DVD-ROM discs, playback starts automatically. 2. Press HOME (n). 3. Select [Movie], [Photo] or [Music] using A/D, and press ENTER (b). 4. Select the [Disc] using W/S, and press ENTER (b). While navigating [Movie], [Photo] or [Music] menu, press green (G) colored button to change the device. (DISC, USB or HDD) 5. Select a file using W/S/A/D, and press d (PLAY) or ENTER (b) to play the file. yyPlayback functions described in this manual are not always available in every files and media.
