Date Search E You can locate the change of the date/time zone with the date search function. This function is operated with the wireless controller. Movies are recorded in Motion JPEG. The number of still images and maximum recording time of movies that can be recorded on a memory card vary according to the recording condition. Advanced Functions Digital Camera 89 Simultaneous Recording on Tape and Memory Card When you are recording a movie on a tape, you can record the same picture as a still image on the memory card. The still image is recorded on the memory card while the screen continues to show the video recording. • The quality of the still image is slightly lower than a still image recorded in CARD CAMERA mode. • The still image cannot be recorded on a memory card when the digital effect is activated. • The still image cannot be recorded on a memory card when the widescreen mode is selected. Using the Flash E Advanced Functions Digital Camera You can use the built-in flash for recording still images in dark places. The flash is equipped with the red-eye reduction mode. (auto) The flash fires automatically according to the brightness of the subject. (red-eye reduction, auto) The flash fires automatically according to the brightness of the subject. With the MVX45i, the assist lamp lights up to reduce the red-eye effect. With the MVX40i/ MVX40, the flash fires a pre-flash for red-eye reduction. (flash on) The flash always fires.
