TC_SYNC point setting When the center cursor key is pressed, the 24TC display is highlighted. To enter the time code, use the number keys and cursor keys (2, 1) to set the time code, and then press the ENT key. Move on to the 30TC/25TC value setting using the cursor keys (3, 4), and proceed in the same way to set and enter the time code. F4 —— F5 DF MD For selecting whether the 3:2 pull-down output from the 1080/23psf (p) or 1080/24psf (p) format after it is converted into the time code and output is to be in the drop frame or non-drop frame mode. DF: The output will be in the drop frame mode. NDF: The output will be in the non-drop frame mode. F6 RC_30SYS F6 (RC_30SYS) key appears when the 23.98 Hz has been selected as the VTR system frequency. Sets the 30 system edit mode with system format 24. ON: 30 system editing OFF: 24 system editing F7 24 TAPE LTC_OUT F7 (24 TAPE LTC_OUT) key appears when the 25/50 Hz has been selected as the VTR system frequency. Sets the LTC OUT output (during 24 tape playback with 25 system). ON: LTC output according to tape format (24 tape TC) OFF: 25 TC output F8 EXIT Returns the VTR to the TC/CHR menu screen. F9 SUPR_FRQ For selecting whether to add the frequency information on the time code superimposed display. ON: The frequency information is added. Example: 24LTCR OFF: The frequency information is not added. Example: LTCR F10 RC_TC° For selecting the time code which is to be output to the remote connectors (RS-422, etc.). 24TC: The original time code with the frame count of 24 is output. 30TC: The post-conversion time code with the frame count of 30 is output. F11 SD SUPER For selecting the time code which is to be output to the SD monitor connector. 24TC: The original time code with the frame count of 24 is output. 30TC: The post-conversion time code with the frame count of 30 is output. (25TC): The post-conversion time code with the frame count of 25 is output. – 86 – TC/CHR CONVERT menu Key Key designation Description F12 HD SUPER For selecting the time code which is to be output to the HD monitor connector. 24TC: The original time code with the frame count of 24 is output. 30TC: The post-conversion time code with the frame count of 30 is output. (25TC): The post-conversion time code with the frame count of 25 is output. F13 LTC OUT° For selecting the time code which is to be output to the LTC output connector. (For details, refer to page 90.) (25TC): This item appears only when the 25/50 Hz has been selected as the system frequency. 30TC: The post-conversion time code with the frame count of 30 is output. 24TC: The time code with the frame count of 24 is output. °This item appears only when the 1080/23p, 1080/24p, 1080/50p or 1080/50i system format is used. When 30TC is selected as the setting, the continuity of the time code is guaranteed only in the 1t tape travel servo lock status. Bear in mind that the time code will be discontinuous at all other times. When the audio insert editing status has been established by selecting ON as the setting for the F6 (RC_30SYS) key and 30TC for the F10 (RC_TC) key, RC 30SYS will appear at the top right of the HOME menu and MANUAL EDIT menu, as shown below.
