This means that the timer recording you just programmed and another timer recording overlap. The current timer recording will not take place. You may choose to cancel the overlapping timer recording. • If the preset time for a timer recording comes up during a One- Touch Recording, the OTR has priority. • To stop a started timer recording, press the STOP/EJECT button on the VCR. • If the power fails for more than one minute, programmed timer recordings will be lost. Reset the clock before resetting the timer recordings. See page 42 for more hints. It will only take a few minutes, and you must do it if you want the VCR Plus+ programming system to work properly. Since the channel numbers of the stations you receive may not be the same as the station numbers, and since channel numbers differ from area to area, you must program the VCR with your local channel information. To fill in the boxes, you will need 1) a cable channel list, if applicable (you can request one from your cable company), and 2) a chart that lists VCR Plus+ channel numbers, which you can find in your TV guide or the TV listings of your local newspaper. NOTE: If you are using a Cable Box/DBS, the Cable/TV channel must be 03 or 04 (the Cable Box/DBS output channel) for every VCR Plus+ channel. Channels Station Call Letters VCR PLUS+ CH. CABLE/TV CH. For stations whose VCR 4-5 Plus+ and Cable/TV channels do not match, you must tell the VCR the VCR Plus+ and Cable/TV channel numbers by following steps 3 - 7. Make each entry within 60 seconds of the previous entry. 3 Press the VCR button, then press the MENU button. 4 Press the PLAY/o button or the STOP/p button to select VCR SET UP, then press the F.FWD/B button. For stations whose VCR Plus+ and Cable/TV channels do not match, press the PLAY/o button or the STOP/p button until the arrow is beside the VCR Plus+ channel you need. Then, press the Number buttons to enter the corresponding Cable/TV channel from your list. (Enter a “0” before single- digit channels.) Enter all the stations on your list. Note: If you are using a Cable Box/DBS, the Cable/TV channel will be 03 or 04 (the Cable Box/DBS output channel) for every VCR Plus+ channel. You must set the Cable Box/DBS to the channel you want to record; leave the Cable Box/DBS on for the timer recording. VCR PLUS+ CROSS REF. Then, press the PLAY/o button or the STOP/p button to select it. Press the CLEAR button, then press the STATUS/EXIT button. • To select line input for the Cable/TV channel, press 0,0. AUX will appear on-screen. • When you receive the VCR, all the VCR Plus+ channel numbers and Cable/TV channel numbers are the same. Before you begin: . Set up the channels at the VCR (page 12). . Set up the VCR Plus+ and Cable/TV channel numbers (pages 32 1 -33). . Set the clock (page 15). . Put a tape in the VCR. . Turn on the VCR power. The VCR light should appear on the display panel. If it does not, press the VCR/TV button once.
