WARNING: Keep clear of overhead power lines. • Do not set up your tent under trees because of potential lightning strikes or falling tree limbs in inclement weather. • Secure with all stakes and guylines provided to prevent property damage or personal injury. • For best results in windy conditions, position narrow end of tent into the wind. • Enlist the help of at least one other person to assist you when it is time to assemble the tent. To Set Up Tent 1. Unfold tent and spread out on a clean, level surface with the door facing the desired direction. (Fig. 1) 2. Assemble two main tent poles by interlocking the longer, black shock-corded, poles. 3. Insert both, long, black poles through sleeves in top of tent as shown. (Fig. 1) Fig. 2 Fig. 1 Door Long, Black, Shock-corded Main Poles Front of Tent 4. Insert one end of each black pole into pins in front corners of tent. (Fig. 2) 5. Go to opposite end of each pole and gradually apply pressure to the pole forming an arch. Insert the pin into the pole end at the corners of tent. (Fig. 3) 6. Attach frame clips along edges of tent to black main poles. (Fig. 3A) 7. Stretch corners and sides of tent until floor is taut then hammer stakes through loops to secure. (Fig. 3B) Fig. 3 3A 3B Door Hinged, Rigid Door 1. Assemble Vertical Door Pole (shorter black pole with plastic tips); then insert through zippered vertical pole sleeve on hinged side of door. (Fig. 4) 2. Insert end of Vertical Door Pole into bottom hinge plate, apply pressure to form a slight bow, then insert other tip of pole into top hinge. Zip up vertical pole sleeve. (Fig. 5 & 6) 3. Assemble Door Pole (longer black pole with plastic cap tips); then insert into zippered pole sleeve at top of door. (Fig. 7) 4. Insert end of Door Pole into top hinge plate, apply pressure to form a bow, then insert other tip of pole into the bottom hinge. (Fig. 8) 5. Zip up pole sleeve to enclose Door Pole. Assemble longer interlocking shock-corded rainfly pole. 2. Unfold rainfly. Locate the sleeve, along front edge, and the hook & loop fasteners on the underside of Rainfly. 3. Drape Rainfly over tent. Make sure the sleeve is centered over the door and the hook & loop fasteners, on the seams on underside of the Rainfly, are positioned over the black main poles. 4. Slide rainfly pole through sleeve at front of the Rainfly. (Fig. 10) (continued on other side) Fig. 10 RainflySleeve Rainfly Pole Door To Attach Rainfly continued 5. Insert metal tip of black rainfly pole into metal grommet located on front seams of tent (Fig. 11 & 11A). Gradually apply pressure to other end of pole to form an arch & insert metal tip into grommet. 6. Attach hook & loop fasteners, located on seams of the underside of Rainfly, around the black main poles, to secure. (Fig. 11B) 7. Clip hooks on elastic cords, on the front and back corners of Rainfly, onto metal loops at front and back corners of tent. (Fig. 11C) 8. Stretch guylines until taut, then secure with stakes. (Fig. 11D) Fig. 11 11D 11B Black Main Pole 11C 11A Grommet Rainfly Pole Guyline Self-rolling Windows CAUTION: “Springs” may have sharp edges. Handle with care to avoid injury. Keep out of reach of children. NOTE: Carefully unroll metal “springs” stored in bag with stakes. The color marking on each “spring” should match the color of the fabric “flag” sewn to the window or door sleeve opening. (Fig. 12) 1. Locate sleeve(s) in window panel, open hook & loop fastener; then insert “spring(s)” with matching color marking. (Fig. 12 & 13) NOTE: When inserting into the sleeve(s), the color marking on the “spring(s)” should always face the operator. 2. Close hook & loop fastener to secure. 3. Before unzipping and opening the window, push in at top to engage “spring(s)” to activate the self-rolling feature. (Fig. 14) 4. Unzip to allow the window panel to roll down automatically; zip back to close window panel. (Fig. 15 & 16) NOTE: Repeat steps above for inserting the color matching “spring(s)” into sleeve(s) for the rest of the windows.
