6 or 7) for darker browning. (When toasting a series of slices, no re-adjustment is required.) - Switching on. The slices are lowered into the toaster by sliding the slide switch downwards. The light integrated in button A comes on (fig. 3). • When toasting frozen bread also press button C (fig. 4) to achieve the required toasting result. (This will give approx. 30 sec. extra toasting time.) • To reheat cooled-off toast also press button O (fig. 5). (The toaster will switch off after approx. 30 sec.) - When ready, the toast pops up automatically (fig. 6) and the toaster switches off the heating elements. The light integrated in button A goes off. • If necessary, you can move the slide switch upwards a little further (fig. 7). This can be helpful when removing smaller slices of bread. • You can interrupt the process of toasting by pressing button A (fig. 8). The slide switch is automatically released and the light integrated in button A goes off. - Removing crumbs from the toaster: First remove the mains plug from the wall socket (fig. 9). Pull out the crumb tray (fig. 10). Do not shake the appliance upside down to remove the crumbs. - After use, the mains cord can be wound up for storage (fig. 11). Heating-up rolls, buns or croissants (for types HD 4834/35 or HD 4854/55 only) - Place the warming rack on top of the toaster (fig. 12). - Place the rolls, buns or croissants centrally on the rack (fig. 13). Prevent overheating: do not place more than 2 pieces at the same time. - Set the browning selector between position 1 and position 3 (fig. 14). The setting must not be higher than position 3. - Move the slide downwards to switch on. • If you wish to heat-up buns or rolls on both sides, just turn them upside down after the toaster has switched off. Switch on again. (Do not change the setting.) Placing the dust cover (after use) (for types HD 4835 or HD 4855 only) - After use, you can place the dust cover on top of the toaster so that it covers button A (fig. 15). • Do not place the dust cover on top of the toaster when the appliance is switched on or when it is still hot as this could lead to damage (fig. 16). Gebruik (zie tekeningen): - (Types HD 4831/34/35:) Plaats een of twee sneden brood in het broodrooster (fig. 1a). - (Types HD 4851/54/55:) Plaats een of twee sneden brood in het broodrooster. Wanneer u slechts een kleine snee brood in het broodrooster plaatst, zet deze dan in het midden van de opening (fig. 1b). - Voordat u het apparaat inschakelt, stelt u de bruiningsgraad in (fig. 2). • Stel een lagere stand (2 of 1) in voor lichtere resultaten, voor het roosteren van slechts een snee brood of voor droog brood. • Zet voor een gemiddeld resultaat de instelknop in stand 3 - 5. • Stel een hogere stand (6 of 7) in voor donkerder resultaten. (Als u een aantal sneden achtereen roostert, is het niet nodig de instelling te wijzigen.) - Inschakelen. Beweeg de schuif naar beneden om de sneden brood in de broodrooster te laten zakken. Het controlelampje in knop A gaat branden (fig. 3). • Als u bevroren brood gaat roosteren, druk dan ook op knop C (fig. 4) om de gewenste bruining te verkrijgen. (Dit geeft ca. 30 sec. extra roostertijd.) • Om afgekoeld geroosterd brood op te warmen, druk dan ook op knop O (fig. 5). (Het broodrooster schakelt dan uit na ca. 30 sec.) - Als de toast klaar is, komen de sneden automatisch omhoog (fig. 6) en worden de verwarmingselementen uitgeschakeld. Het controlelampje in knop A gaat uit. • Zonodig kunt u de schuif nog wat verder omhoog bewegen (fig. 7). Dat kan gemakkelijk zijn wanneer u kleine sneetjes brood uit het apparaat wilt verwijderen. • U kunt het roosteren voortijdig beeindigen door op knop A te drukken (fig. 8). De schuif wordt dan automatisch ontgrendeld en het controlelampje in knop A gaat uit. - Verwijderen van kruimels uit de broodrooster: Neem eerst de stekker uit het stopcontact (fig. 9). Trek de kruimella uit het apparaat (fig. 10). Het apparaat niet ondersteboven houden en schudden om de kruimels te verwijderen. - Na gebruik kunt u het snoer voor het opbergen opwikkelen (fig. 11). Broodjes, kadetjes of croissants opwarmen (alleen bij types HD 4834/35 en HD 4854/55) - Plaats het opwarmrekje op het broodrooster (fig. 12). - Plaats de broodjes, kadetjes of croissants zoveel mogelijk midden op het rekje (fig. 13). Voorkom oververhitting: Zet niet meer dan 2 stuks tegelijk op het rekje. - Zet de instelknop tussen stand 1 en stand 3 (fig. 14). Kies geen hogere stand dan 3. - Beweeg de schuif omlaag om het apparaat in te schakelen. • Als u broodjes of kadetjes aan beide zijden wilt opwarmen, draait u de broodjes om nadat het broodrooster zichzelf heeft uitgeschakeld.
