1. Plug the cord into a standard electrical outlet. 2. Adjust the toast color dial to the desired setting (A). For first use, set the dial to the middle position. Adjust for lighter or darker toasting. 3. Place bread slices/toaster foods in the slots, and press the control lever down until it latches. The lever will not latch unless the toaster is plugged in.The self-adjusting bread guides will automatically adjust and center thick or thin slices in place. Caution: Overtoasting of thinly sliced breads and packaged greasy toaster foods could cause them to catch fire. Toast thin slices only on lower settings of the toast color control. For packaged toaster foods, follow instructions provided by their manufacturers. Important: For the best toast color and most consistent toasting, the wires in the center of the slots do not glow. Only the wires on the outside coils will glow. This is normal. 4. If food becomes jammed, the built-in auto power-off function will automatically shut off the power. Unplug the cord and move the control lever up and down a few times to raise "jammed" food. Never use metal utensils to free food. 5. To interrupt toasting at any time, move the control lever up. Care and Cleaning Important: Always unplug the cord from the electrical outlet and allow the toaster to cool before cleaning. DO NOT IMMERSE THE TOASTER IN WATER. Crumb Tray 1. Turn the toaster on its side and hold over a sink or trash can. 2. Slide the post on the crumb tray forward and swing the tray open (B). 3. Wipe the crumb tray with a damp cloth or sponge. 4. Dry the crumb tray before closing. To close, slide the post forward again and "set in place" to shut. It’s important to clean out the crumbs to avoid buildup. Frequency depends on how often you use your toaster. Cleaning the Outside Surfaces Note: After some use, you may see a dull film form on the side panels of the toaster. This is normal. Allow the toaster to cool completely, then wipe the toaster body with a soft, dry cloth or paper towel to restore the shine. Allow the toaster to cool completely before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth or sponge and dry with a paper towel. Do not use strong cleaners or abrasives that may scratch surfaces and never spray cleaners directly onto the toaster. Como usar Este producto es solamente para uso domestico 1. Conecte el cable a una toma de corriente standard. 2. Ajuste el control al color del tostado que desee (A). Cuando use el tostador por primera vez, gire el control a la posicion del centro. Ajuste para un tostado mas claro o mas oscuro. 3. Coloque las rebanadas de pan o cualquier otro alimento que desee tostar adentro de las ranuras. Presione la palanca hasta que enganche. La palanca no enganchara a menos que el tostador este conectado. Las guias se ajustaran automaticamente para acomodar las rebanadas gruesas o finas. Precaucion: El tostar en exceso las rebanadas de pan finas y los alimentos de alto contenido de grasa puede ocasionar un incendio. Tueste las rebanadas finas ajustando el control de tostado a una graduacion baja. Para los alimentos de paquete, siga las indicaciones provistas por el fabricante. Importante: A fin de lograr un tostado de mejor color y consistencia, los alambres en el centro de las ranuras no brillan. Solamente brillan los alambres de las bobinas externas. Esto es normal. 4. En caso de trabarse los alimentos, la funcion de apagado automatico apaga el funcionamiento de la unidad automaticamente. Desconecte el cable y mueva la palanca de control hacia arriba y hacia abajo unas cuantas veces hasta subir los alimentos "trabados". Nunca use utensilios metalicos para destrabar alimentos. 5. Para interrumpir el ciclo de tostado en cualquier momento, suba la palanca de control. Cuidado y limpieza IMPORTANTE: Siempre desconecte el cable de la toma de corriente y permita que el tostador se enfrie por completo antes de limpiarlo. NO SUMERJA EL TOSTADOR EN AGUA. Bandeja para residuos 1. Coloque el tostador de lado y sujetelo sobre un lavadero o cesto de basura. 2. Deslice la perilla de la bandeja de residuos hacia adelante y abra la bandeja (B). 3. Limpie la bandeja con un pano humedo o con una esponja. 4. Seque la bandeja antes de cerrarla. Para cerrar, deslice la perilla de nuevo hacia adelante y "asientela" para cerrarla. Es importante eliminar los residuos para evitar que se acumulen. La frecuencia de la limpieza debera de realizarse conforme al uso del tostador.
