This T V has features that contribute to energy-efficient use. This T V was awarded the European Ecolabel for its environmental qualities. Energy ef.ciency features • Ambient light sensor (Available in selected models only) To save energy, the built-in Ambient light sensor lowers the brightness of the T V screen when the surrounding light darkens. • Energy saving The energy saving setting of the T V combines several TV settings that result in saving energy. See the smar t settings in the setup menu. • Low standby power consumption The class-leading and highly advanced power circuitr y brings down the power consumption of the T V to an ex tremely low level, without losing out on the constant standby functionality. Power management (Available in selected models only) The advanced power management of this T V ensures the most efficient use of its energy. You can check how your personal T V settings, the level of brightness in current onscreen pictures and the surrounding light conditions determine the relative power consumption. End of use To inform yourself on the correct disposal of the T V and batteries, refer to ‘Disposal of your old product and batteries’ in the user manual (see ‘Disposal of your old product and batteries’ on page 5). 6 EN Remote control 3 TV overview This section gives you an over view of commonly used TV controls and functions. The product is not powered off completely unless it is physically unplugged. b P/CH +/- : Switches to the next or previous channel. If the information spans multiple pages, press OPTIONS to go to the nex t page. k (Backward) Searches backward. l (Forward) Searches for ward. m (Play/Pause) Star ts, pauses or resumes playback. n (Record) (only used for Easylink features (see ‘Use Philips EasyLink’ on page 31) ) Star ts or stops video recording. o ( Stop) Stops playback. p (Mute) Mutes or restores volume. q P +/- ( Programme +/-) Switches to the nex t or previous channel. When the T V menu is on, this functions as Page Up/Down. r FORMAT Selects a picture format. s 0-9 ( Numeric buttons) Selects a channel or setting. t PICTURE Launches the picture menu.
