Help Speaker On RS-232C 9600 bps Fan Mode Normal Disable 11111 Auto Search Function This function automatically searches for and switches to the input mode in which signals are being received, when the projector is turned on, or when the INPUT button is pressed. Note When “Auto Search” is set to “On” • If two or more input signals are found, the projector selects the input source in the order of INPUT 1 n INPUT 2 n INPUT 3 n INPUT 4 when you press INPUT (P/R) on the projector. • While “Auto Search” is set to “On”, press CINPUT 1,CINPUT 2, DINPUT 3 or EINPUT 4 on the remote control to select an input mode other than the input mode selected by the projector. 22222 Auto Sync (Auto Sync Adjustment) Selectable items Description On Auto Sync adjustment will occur when the projector is turned on or when the input signals are switched, when connected to a computer. Off Auto Sync adjustment is not automatically performed. Note • Auto Sync adjustment is also performed by pressing F AUTO SYNC on the remote control. • The Auto Sync adjustment may take some time to complete, depending on the image of the computer connected to the projector. • When the optimum image cannot be achieved with Auto Sync adjustment, use manual adjustments. (See page 51.) 33333 Auto Power Off Function Selectable items Description On When no input signal is detected for more than 15 minutes, the projector will automatically enter standby mode. Off The Auto Power Off function will be disabled. Note • When the Auto Power Off function is set to “On”, 5 minutes before the projector enters standby mode, the message “Enter STANDBY mode in X min.” will appear on the screen to indicate the remaining minutes. 44444 Setting the Confirmation Sound (System Sound) Selectable items Description On A confirmation sound is made when the projector turns on/off. Off No confirmation sound is made. 55555 Speaker Setting Selectable items Description On The audio signal is output from the internal speaker. Off The audio signal is not output from the internal speaker. 66666 Selecting the Transmission Speed (RS-232C) 66666 Selecting the Transmission Speed (RS-232C) Make sure that both the projector and computer are set for the same baud rate. Selectable Description items 9600bps Transmission speed is slow. P R 115200bps Transmission speed is rapid. 77777 Fan Mode Setting This function changes the fan rotation speed. Selectable items Description Normal Suitable for normal environments. High Select this when using the projector at altitudes of approximately 1,500 meters (4,900 feet) or more. When “Fan Mode” is set to “High”, the fan rotation speeds up, and the fan noise becomes louder. 99999 Checking the Lamp Life Status You can confirm the cumulative lamp usage time and the remaining lamp life (percentage). Menu operation n Page 40 88888 System Lock Function This function prevents unauthorized use of the projector. Once this function is activated, users must enter the correct keycode each time the projector is turned on. We suggest you record the keycode in a safe place where only authorized users have access. Info • If you lose or forget your keycode, contact your nearest EIKI Authorized Dealer or Service Center (see page 61). Even if the product warranty is valid, the keycode reset will incur a charge. a Setting/Changing the keycode 1 2 Select “System Lock”, then press hENTER or Q. • The screen for entering the keycode appears. Press the 4 buttons on the remote control or on the projector to enter the preset keycode in “Old Code”. • When setting the keycode for the first time, press R on the projector for four times. PRJ - ADJ Setting the System Lock Old Code New Code –––– Reconfirm –––– Note • If you input a wrong keycode, the cursor returns to the first point of the “Old Code”. • The preset keycode is 4 R buttons on the projector. When you press the R button four times, the keycord input screen disappears.
