PRE-USE PREPARATION Prepare for first use by thoroughly washing the clear juice mixing box, adjustable strainer basket, mixing paddle, spigot and washer, and clear cover in warm sudsy water and thoroughly dry. DO NOT put the motor base in water. Use a clean soft dry towel to dry. Spigot and Washer Mixing Paddle and Stem C. Motor Base D. Adjustable Strainer Basket Rotating Reams (2) Clear Cover 3 ASSEMBLY 1. Place the paddle stem on the motor base stem. Place the clear juice mixing box over the paddle stem and onto the motor base cart, positioning the spigot hole to the back (wheel side of the cart). 2. Note the clear juice mixing box has a molded interior design to accept the motor base stem (like a sleeve). When properly placed, the juice mixing box should sit nicely on the base. Lock the mixing box down by locating the locking notches at the bottom edge of the box on three sides and snap into place. The motor base stem will protrude out the top of the juice mixing box. 3. Insert the threaded side of the spigot into the receptor hole in the clear juice mixing box and hold the spigot in place with one hand. Locate the open threaded side of the washer and by placing your other hand down into the clear juice mixing box, screw the washer onto the spigot. (See Illustration A below) A B 4. Insert the mixing paddle over the protruding motor base stem with the paddles hanging in the down position inside the mixing box. 5. Fit the rotating reams with the adjustable strainer basket over the motor base stem and set securely onto the clear juice mixing box. Top with the clear cover and you are ready to use or store until ready to use. SPECIAL FEATURES • Your OLD FASHIONED LEMONADE JUICE STAND™ includes reams in two sizes. The top, larger ream is for lemons or small oranges, and is removable by holding down the adjustable strainer basket with your first finger and thumb of one hand and lifting up with your other hand. The permanently attached bottom reamer is for limes. • Your clear juice mixing box will hold 6 cups (48 ounces) of liquid. • Your OLD FASHIONED LEMONADE JUICE STAND™ has an adjustable pulp level control located on the top of the strainer basket (see Illustration B above). The levels are shown in graduated circles. Reading Left to Right, by selecting the larger circle, you will get more pulp in your juice. By adjusting the lever to the smaller circle, you would get a minimal amount of pulp – perhaps none. • The strainer basket will trap the pulp and seeds from the juice. • Clear serving cover provided for easy pouring and serves as a dust cover for storing. 4 OPERATING YOUR CITRUS JUICER PITCHER™ Now that you have assembled your OLD FASHIONED LEMONADE JUICE STAND™, making fresh lemonade or other healthy fresh citrus drinks is easy and fun. Cut your citrus in half, placing one half over the reamer and gently press down. The motor will activate and the juicer will spin clockwise as it extracts the juice from the fruit. Hold the fruit covered reamer down for no longer than 3 to 5 seconds. When you release pressure, the unit stops. Give the unit another 5 seconds rest then press down again, the reamer will reverse to a counter clockwise spin extracting the juice and cleaning the pulp from the fruit. The pulp will fall into the basket and the seeds will be trapped as you extract the juice from the citrus half. Continue to place your cut fruit halves on the reamer to extract juice, repeating the process until you have the desired amount of juice in the pitcher. Basic Lemonade Recipe: (Serves 8) 12 Lemons 1 1/4 Cup Sugar 1 1/2 Cup Boiling Water (Combine the sugar and water and bring to a slow boil on stovetop until the sugar dissolves. Chill.) Add 4 Cups of Ice Cold Water and mix well. Add lemon slices for garnish and serve. ENJOY! Experiment with lemons and limes and by adding other flavored juices to your freshly made citrus juice. CLEANING For Cleaning your OLD FASHIONED LEMONADE JUICE STAND™, follow the simple directions in the PRE-USE PREPARATIONS on Page 2. • After using your OLD FASHIONED LEMONADE JUICE STAND™, disconnect from electrical outlet. Remove plug by gripping the plug body and pulling out of the outlet.
