Adult assembly is required for battery installation. Tool required for battery installation: Phillips screwdriver (not included). Battery Safety Information 1.5V x 3 “C” (LR14) Shown Actual Size Batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burn injury or ruin your toy. To avoid battery leakage: • Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium). • Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment. • Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from the toy. Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. The batteries may explode or leak. • Never short-circuit the battery terminals. • Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type, as recommended. • Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries. • Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging. • If removable, rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to be charged under adult supervision. POWER/VOLUME SWITCH • Locate the power/volume switch on the front of the toy. • Slide the switch to the desired position: or on with high volume Off; on with low volume . Hint: If your child does not press any of Fetch’s buttons for a while, Fetch says “see you later” and turns off automatically (sleep mode). Press any button to resume play. • When your child is finished playing with this toy, slide the power/volume switch to the Off position. TM Seven Ways to Make Learning Fun! Letters Press any letter to hear Fetch say the name of the letter -“P”. Letter Challenge Find the letter “P”. Fetch will ask you to find a letter. Press the correct letter and Fetch congratulates you. Press the wrong letter and Fetch encourages you to try again. Press the “Hint” button at any time for some help. Find the letter “P”. Phonics Press any letter to hear Fetch say the phonetic sound of that letter. Puh – P makes the sound - “puh” as in pig. Phonics Challenge Fetch will ask you to find a letter. Find the letter that makes this sound - “puh” as in pig. Spelling Fetch will ask you to spell a word. Press the correct letters and Fetch congratulates you. Press the wrong letters and Fetch encourages you to try again. Press the “Hint” button at any time for some help. Paw is spelled p-a-w. Help me spell paw. Find P. Create a Word Fetch invites you to create a three-letter word. D-O-G – dog! Spectacular! Music Fetch invites you to press a letter to make music. Press consonants to build a song note-by-note. Wait a moment and Fetch plays them back to you. Press a vowel to hear a whole song as Fetch barks along. Press the “hint” button to play back the last song. Slide the paw to choose a game Press the hint button for extra help Handle for take-along fun Care • Wipe this toy with a clean cloth dampened with a mild soap and water solution.
