Record these numbers in the spaces provided on the back cover of this guide. BEFORE YOU CALL SERVICE Check Spark Plug Wire • Firmly attached? • Wire terminal clean? At WARNING i V» ♦♦♦♦♦♦ «7 This unit is equipped with an internal combustion engine and should not be used on or near any unimproved forest-covered, brush-covered or grass-covered land unless the engine’s exhaust system is equipped with a spark arrester meeting applicable local or state laws (if any). If a spark arrester is used, it should be maintained in effective working order by the operator. In the State of California the above is required by law (Section 4442 of the California Public Resources Code). Other states may have similar laws. Federal laws apply on federal lands. A spark arrester muffler is available at your nearest engine authorized service center. 2 To reduce the potential for any injury, comply with the following safety instructions. Failure to comply with the instructions may result in personal injury. SAFE OPERATION PRACTICES FOR TILLERS 1. It is suggested that this manual be read in its entirety before attempting to assemble or operate this unit. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference and for ordering 2.
