This product is intended for household use only. Thank you for purchasing a Panasonic Toaster Oven, NB-G100P. For your own safety and convenience, please read these instructions carefully before operating. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following: 1. Read all instructions. 2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. 3. To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid. 4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. 5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts. 6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment. 7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause hazards. 8. Do not use outdoors. 9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces. 10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven. 11. Use extreme care when removing oven tray and whenever disposing of hot grease and oils. 12. To disconnect, turn all controls to “off,” then remove plug from wall outlet. 13. Do not use appliance for other than intended use. 14. Don‘t assume you know how to operate all parts of the Toaster Oven. Some features may work differently from those you are accustomed to. 15. Oversized foods or utensils must not be inserted in the appliance as they may create fire or electrical hazard. 16. A fire may occur if appliance is covered or touching flammable materials, including curtains, draperies, walls, etc., when in operation. Do not store any item on top of the appliance when in operation. 17. Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts, creating a shock hazard. 18. Before using this appliance, move it four to six inches away from the wall or any object on the counter top. Remove any object that may have been placed on top of the appliance. Do not use on surfaces where heat may cause a problem. 19. Extreme caution should be exercised when using containers constructed of other than metal or glass. 20. Replace cardboard lids on food containers with aluminum foil; cardboard lids may burn. When using aluminum foil, keep foil from touching heating elements. 21. Do not store any materials, other than manufacturer’s recommended accessories in this oven when not in use. 22. Do not place any of the following materials in the oven: paper, cardboard, plastic, etc. 23. Do not cover crumb tray or any part of the oven with metal foil. This will cause overheating of the oven. 24. In order to turn the appliance off, turn off the timer. 25. Don’t use water on grease fires; smother fire or use dry chemical or foam type extinguisher. 26. Don’t put food too close to the heating elements to prevent smoking, spattering, and the possibility of fats on foods catching fire. 27. Always make sure the toaster oven is turned off before opening the oven door. 28. Always use a pot holder or oven mitt to install or remove oven tray or any cooking container. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS A short cord is provided in accordance with Underwriters’ Laboratories Safety Standards to reduce the hazards of becoming entangled or tripping over a longer cord. An extension cord may be used if the rating is equal to or greater than the rating of this appliance and if care is taken to arrange the extension cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over accidentally. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
