Remove the battery door by slightly pressing the knob upwards. 2. Insert one new AAA size battery as per indication marked on the battery compartment. 3. Close the battery door. 4. When the battery is inserted, all the segments of the LCD will be shown briefly before entering the radio controlled time reception mode. 5. The RC Clock will automatically start scanning for the TatmrOTiTtrotted time sigrral after 10 seconds. ~ Alarm Time Mode 1. Alarm time 2. Alarm mode -j 3. Snooze icon 4. Alarm icon SELECT THE TIME ZONE Note If there is no display on the LCD after inserting the battery, try to replace with a new battery or press RESET key by using a metal wire. In some cases, you may not receive a signal immediately. Due to atmospheric disturbances, the best reception often occurs during nighttime. Make sure the time zone is already set to appropriate location. The default time zone is Pacific zone. If you following steps: 1. In the normal time mode, press the MODE key to enter the alarm time mode. 2. Press the ADJUST key to change the time zone. P=Pacific M=Mountain C=Central E=Eastern FUNCTION KEYS DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME(DST) MODE key: Switch between Normal Time Mode and Alarm Time Mode SET key: In normal time mode or alarm time mode, switch ALARM/SNOOZE function ON or OFF. \n setting mode, step the setting sequences. ADJUST key: In normal time mode, toggle between Date/Month and Year display. In setting mode, change the setting value. °C / °F key: Press it once to toggle between °C and F° format. Press and hold it for 3 seconds to receive the signal for reception testing. Check the signal serengthe indicator in the first 30 seconds. If the signal strength indicator is in acceptable signal quality , fix the clock here. Otherwise, place the clock in other position and press the“°C/°F’’ button again. The reception will be off automatically after 6-12 minutes. SNOOZE / LIGHT bar: Turn on backlight and stop the alarm sound when the bell rings. O The clock has been programmed to automatically switch when daylight savings time is in effect . Your clock will show ‘DST during the summer. SIGNAL STRENGTH INDICATOR The signal indicator displays signal strength in 3 levels. Wave segment flashing means time signals are being received. The signal quality could be classified into three types: Poor signal quality Acceptable signal quality Excellent signal quality If the RC clock receives signal successfully, a Sync time symbol jgf appears on LCD. _ The unit is already synchronized with the time signal transmitter. Otherwise the antenna segment will disappear from the LCD display. Note: 1. You may use the °C/°F button to receive the time signal manually. Be cautious of using the RECEIVE mode. The receive mode will be off automatically after 6-12 minutes. Test mode consumes more battery power that may reduce battery lifetime. 2. The unit has been programmed to receive the time signal everyday at 2:00, 8:00, 14:00 and 20:00, the maximum receive period is 12 minutes. 3. The program employs an artifical intelligence method to recognise between good signal and interference, so the unit may stop the current RC reception when a continuous interference lasts for 3 minutes. The clock will reactivate the reception function until the next time. MANUALLY SETTING THE TIME AND DATE If you are out of the reach of the Radio Controlled Transmitter or if the reception is not reachable, the time can be set manually. As soon as the transmitter is received again, the clock will automatically synchronize with the received time. 1. press and hold ‘‘SET’ key for 3 seconds until the HOUR digit flashing. 2. Press “ADJUST” key to increase the value of the flashing digit. 3. Press “SET” key again to step the setting items. The setting sequence will be: Hour > Minute > Second >12/24 HR > Year > Month > Date. 5. Press “ADJUST” key to switch 12/24 HR format when “12/24HR" flashing. 6. Press “MODE” key to exit the setting mode. I >30, iCZiOni -0 30= I e r« O af tf-fi [ÜË3 Tui ALARM Mode HOUR setting MINUTE setting USING THE ALARM AND SNOOZE FUNCTION 1. Set the Alarm time as described in the previous section. 2. In normal time mode or alarm mode, activate the Alarm by pressing the SET key so that the bell icon “ ” appears; activate the snooze by pressing the SET key twice so that the snooze icon “Zz” appears. 3. To deactivate the alarm, press the “SET’ key, both icons will disappear. Note: 1. When the snooze function is activated, the 4-step crescendo alarm will automatically start again after 4 minutes, total 5 times then not sound again until the next day. The alarm duration is 60 seconds. The Zz icon will keep flashing during the whole alarm and snooze period. 2. When the alarm is sound, press the SNOOZE/LIGHT key to stop the bell ringing...
