RESET9-Volt Battery Changing the Remote Battery WARNING: Danger of explosion if the remote control’s batteries are incorrectly installed. Replace only with the same or equivalent battery. LITHIUM BATTERYCR 20253VCR2025PUSHOPENLITHIUM BATTERYCR 20253VCR2025PUSHOPEN 1. Push the Release Button and pull out the Battery Compartment to access the battery. 2. Replace the old battery with an equivalent new battery (CR2025). 3. The positive side of the battery, as indicated by a plus symbol, must be facing up when inserted into the remote. 5 Docking an iPod 1. Locate the numbered Bracket that fits the iPod that will be docked. Each included Bracket has a number on it, indicating which iPod model that bracket is compatible with. See the separate bracket chart page to identify which bracket is needed. 2. Snap the Bracket into place over the iPod connector in the Docking Station. All Brackets will only fit one way onto the Dock. When inserting an iPod nano (first or second generation), slide the Dock connection on the unit so that it matches the opening on the iPod nano (first or second generation). 3. Connect the iPod to the iPod connector inside the Docking Station. Once an iPod is connected to the Docking Station, the unit will charge the docked iPod. Please note, when the unit is in AM radio mode, a docked iPod will not charge. 6 Playing an iPod 1. Dock an iPod onto the unit. 2. Press the Standby/Al Off Button to turn the unit on. 3. Press the Function Button to switch the unit to iPod mode. 4. Press the Play/Pause Button to play and pause the docked iPod. Tuning the AM/FM Radio 1. Press the Standby/Al Off Button to turn the unit on. 2. Press the Function Button to switch the unit to AM or FM radio mode. 3. Press the Skip/Search/Tuning Buttons to tune the AM or FM radio. Saving FM or AM Radio Stations to the Unit’s Memory 1. After tuning the AM or FM radio, to the desired station, press the Enter/Memory Button. 2. Press the AL 1/M+ Button and AL 2/M- Button to adjust the radio memory slot. 3. Press the Enter/Memory Button to save the current radio station to the selected memory slot. 7 Location of Controls 1 9 2 10 12 4 5 13 11 3 6 14 7 8 RESET 15 16 8 Control Definitions 1 Dock for iPod Use the Dock for iPod to connect an iPod to the unit. 2 Standby/Al Off Button Press the Standby/AL Off Button to turn the unit off and on. Press the Standby/AL Off Button to turn the unit’s alarm off after it sounds. 3 Volume Buttons Press the Volume Buttons to adjust the volume of audio output from the unit. 4 AL 1/M+ Button With the power off, press and hold the AL 1/M+ Button to set alarm 1. Press the AL 1/M+ Button to cycle through saved radio stations. 5 Function/Band Button Press the Function/Band Button to switch between AM radio, FM radio, iPod, and Aux modes. 6 Snooze Button Press the Snooze Button to delay the alarm for an additional 6 minutes after it sounds. 7 FM Wire Antenna Adjust the FM Wire Antenna to adjust the reception of the FM radio. 8 Auxiliary Input Use the Auxiliary Input to connect an MP3 player or other audio device to the unit. 9 Clock/iPod Menu/Display Button With the power off, press and hold the Clock/iPod Menu/Display Button to set the unit’s time. Press the Clock/iPod Menu/Display Button to move backwards through the iPod’s menus in iPod mode. Press the Clock/iPod Menu/Display Button to view the time when in radio mode. 10 Play/Pause Button Press the Play/Pause Button to play or pause a docked iPod. 11 Skip/Search/Tuning/Time Button Press the Skip/Search/Tuning/Time Button to skip between tracks on a docked iPod. Press and hold the Skip/Search/Tuning/Time Button to search through an individual track on a docked iPod. Press the Skip/Search/Tuning/Time Button to tune the AM and FM radio. Press the Skip/Search/Tuning/Time Button to adjust the time when setting the clock and alarms. 12 AL 2/M- Button With the power off, press and hold the AL 2/M- Button to set alarm 2. Press the AL 2/M- Button to cycle through saved radio stations. 13 Enter/Memory Button Press the Enter/Memory Button to make selections on a docked iPod.
