VOLUME TUNING EARPHONE B.SKIP F.SKIP PLAY/ PAUSE OPEN/ CLOSE STOP POWER REPEAT FM TAPE RADIO Playing a CD 1 Slide the FUNCTION SWITCH (8) to CD. 2 Press the OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON (15) to openthe CD DRAWER (19). Place a disc in the traywith the labeled side of the disc facing up. 3 Press the OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON (15) againclose the CD DRAWER (19). The display will show “—“ for a few seconds, then the total number of tracks on the disc will be displayed. “00” will be shown when there is no disc inside the unit. 4 Press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON (14) to startplayback. The PLAY/PAUSE INDICATOR (13) 11 will light up. 12 13 5 Adjust the VOLUME KNOB (9) to the desired volume level. 14 6 To pause playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE15 BUTTON(14) . The PLAY/PAUSE INDICATOR (13) will flash. Press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON (14) again to resume playback. 16 7 To stop playback, press the STOP BUTTON (12) and the PLAY/PAUSE INDICATOR (14) willgo off. Skip Forward And Reverse 1 Press the FORWARD SKIP BUTTON (3) or theBACKWARD SKIP BUTTON (4) to select a track. 2 Press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON (14) to startplaying the selected track Search Forward And Reverse During Play PLAYBACK 1 Press and hold the FORWARD SKIP BUTTON (3) or the BACKWARD SKIP BUTTON (4) tosearch forward or backward though the selectedtrack. 2 Release the button at the desired point, playbackwill resume automatically. Control Locators Unit Controls Control Locators Unit Controls Cassette & Radio Operation Cassette Operation Radio Operation 1 Slide the FUNCTION SWITCH (8) to TAPE. 1 Slide the FUNCTION SWITCH (8) toRADIO. 2 Insert a prerecorded tape through the CASSETTE DOOR (21). Tape will slide into the cassette mechanism and start playing. 2 Press the AM/FM BUTTON (7) to the desiredradio band (AM or FM ). 3 Adjust the volume level by turning the VOLUME 3 Select the desired radio station by rotating KNOB (9). TUNING KNOB (17). 4 For fast forwarding, press the CASSETTE 4 Adjust the VOLUME KNOB (9) to the desired EJECT/F.F (20) half way in. ForAM reception, the unit is provided with a directional NOTE: Remove the tape from the unit when it is not build-in ferrite antenna. Rotate the set to find the position in which the best reception is obtained. Note: Save all packing materials. 2 Remove plastic bag covering radio. 3 Remove plastic safety cover from A/C plug. 4 Remove tie from A/C cord and untie antennawire on back of radio. 5 Open lid and remove styrofoam shippingmaterial from turntable. 6 Remove black tie-wrap from under the tone arm. 7 Remove white protective needle cover by gentlypulling towards the front of the unit. 8 Untie the FM antenna and allow it to hang downin a straight line for optimum FM reception. Ifyou have trouble tuning in an FM station, movethe external FM antenna for best reception. Dono connect FM antenna to outside antenna. Power Source 1 Unwind the AC POWER CORD (29) at the backof the unit and connect it to a power outlet. 2 Plug A/C cord into appropriate outlet. AC Polarized Plug Note: This product may be equipped with apolaized alternating-current line plug (aplug having one blade wider than theother.) This plug will fit into the poweroutlet only one way. This is a safetyfeature. If you are unable to insert the plugfully into the outlet try reversing the plug, if the plug should still fail to fit, contactyour electrician to replace your obsoleteoutlet. Do not defeat the safety purposeof the polarized plug. 3 This product is equipped with a polarizedalternating current line plug (a plug having oneblade wider than the other). This plug will fit intothe power outlet only one way. This is a safetyfeature, If you are unable to insert the plug fullyinto the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plugshould still fail to fit, contact you electrician toreplace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat thepurpose of the polarized plug. Turntable Operation Turn the unit on by pressing the POWER BUTTON (16) located on the front panel to the ON position. 1 Slide the FUNCTION SWITCH (8) to PHONO. 2 Set the SPEED CONTROL SWITCH (26) todesire speed (33 1/3,45 or 78 rpm). Place therecord on the turntable. 3 Pull the TONE ARM (25) slightly to the rightside until hear the “click” sound to activate...
