WARNING • Do not spray flammable liquids such as gasoline. • Never spray steam on oneself, others, animals, or electrical appliances - serious burn or scald hazard. (Note: Steam will continue to spray for a few seconds after the switch is turned off.) • Keep away from children. Serious burn potential. • Do not drink from this device. ! CAUTION • To provide continued protection against risk of electric shock, connect to properly grounded outlets only. • Never leave unit unattended when it is plugged in. • Cleaning cold glass may cause glass to break! • Never store the unit outdoors. Store only indoors in a cool, dry area. • Never unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug grasp the plug, not the cord. • Do not use extension cords or outlets with inadequate current carrying capacity. The unit uses up to 13 amps of electricity. • Do not pull or carry the cord as a handle. Keep away from sharp edges or corners. Description The Campbell Hausfeld Automobile Steam Cleaner is designed to provide a continuous steam jet that melts away tough grime and stains. The jet of steam is fully automatic at the flip of the switch after just seconds of preheating. Unlike some other hand held steam cleaners, the water storage tank can be filled immediately after being run dry with no waiting for the heating element to cool down. Many accessories are provided to make cleaning easier. Three small brushes and one triangle brush are included along with a special cleaning cloth, wire-tip cleaning tool, and easy-to-attach shoulder belt. The steamer is equipped with a built-in water filter that does not need replacing. Unpacking When unpacking the unit, inspect carefully for any damage that may have occurred during transit. Refer to Page 4 to ensure that all of the items are present: 1. Main steam unit 2. Water tank assembly 3. Plastic tip body 4. Triangle brush 5. Cleaning cloth for triangle brush 6. Do not use any other liquids that could be flammable or could clog up the system. ! CAUTION Unplug unit before adding water to tank – shock hazard. NOTICE Remove the foam shipping insert from the hole where the water tank attaches to the main unit. Figure 2 1. Remove cap from water tank (see Figure 2). Fill tank with cool tap water. Tank holds about 18 ounces. Replace cap tightly. Wipe away any excess water. 2. Insert cap end of tank into bottom of main unit. Screw tank in clockwise to secure. 3. Install plastic tip body to other end of main unit by aligning the two tabs on the tip body with slots on main housing (see Figure 3a). Push tip body on and turn counter clockwise 90 degrees to lock in (see Figure 3b). Note: Tip body can be inserted in two ways so that the tip faces upwards or downwards. 4. All of the cleaning attachments simply push on until tight (see Figure 4). 5. The cloth can be streched over the triangle brush for cleaning glass or other smooth surfaces (see Figure 5). Figure 4 Figure 5 Figure 3b 6. Optional: Attach shoulder belt by pushing snap end over round tabs on main unit. Slide snap to lock. To remove, reverse procedure (see Figure 6).
