B 11/2007 H5137 LSVFSD-18 Shadowdance™ 18" Log Set H5138 LSVFSD-24 Shadowdance 24" Log Set H5139 LSVFSD-30 Shadowdance 30" Log Set LOG PLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS FOR SHADOWDANCE™ SERIES GAS LOGS SETS DAVE LENNOX GENERAL INFORMATION This log placement instructions addendum has been prepared to assist in the placement of new or replacement log sets. The information provided here is to be used in conjunction with the Installation and Operation manual. Please read the Care and Operation Instructions completely before completing the procedures detailed in this placement guide. If you encounter any problems, need clarification of these instructions or are not qualified to properly install this log set, contact you local distributor or dealer. Read this instruction sheet in its entirety before beginning the installation. RETAIN THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE READ IMPORTANT WARNINGS BEFORE PROCEEDING. A WARNINGS LOG SET Rear Log Rear Ember Bed Left Top Log Right Top Log Front Ember Bed * The twig indicated is included in the 24" and 30" log sets only. • The 30" log set also includes 2 ember chunks (shown in Figure 9). • Do not attempt to install the logs until the appliance installation has been completed, the gas line connected and tested for leaks and the initial burner operation has been checked out. • If logs are not installed according to the log installation instructions, flame impingement and improper combustion could occur and result in soot and/or excessive production of carbon monoxide (CO), a colorless, odorless, toxic gas. • The size and position of the log set was engineered to give the appliance a safe, reliable and attractive flame pattern. Any attempt to use a different log set with the Shadowdance series gas train models, LSVFSD-NG OR LSVFSD-LP will void the warranty and will result in incomplete combustion, sooting, and poor flame quality. • Do not add extra logs or ornaments such as pine cones, vermiculite or rock wool. Using these added items can cause sooting. • Do not place any lava rock on logs or burners. This may cause sooting. Only place lava rock on floor of fireplace. • All warnings and precautions in the installation and operation manual provided with the appliance apply to these instructions.
