Cancellation On custom made models designed to customer’s specifications, an engineering charge will be assessed if order is cancelled before fabrication has commenced. If cancellation is after fabrication is started, cancellation charge will be dependent on extent of work performed. Return Goods No returns allowed on custom made products. Limited Warranty All Elkay products are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects. If item is defective due to faulty materials or workmanship, a new item or like type and size will be supplied. (This warranty does not cover installation charges.) Loss and/or Damage in Transit Our liability ceases upon delivery of the goods to the carrier at our factory. Claims for damage and/or loss in transit to be made by the consignee against the carrier. We will assist and cooperate in the processing of such claims upon customer’s request. Payment Terms 2% 10th prox. ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS Custom made stainless steel sink tops and countertops shall be of sizes and dimensions as shown on plans, and be as manufactured by ELKAY MANUFACTURING COMPANY, Broadview, Illinois and shall be fabricated as follows: Shall be made of #18 gauge, Type 304, 18-8 stainless steel bonded to and reinforced with #14 gauge steel plate welded to 3/4"x3/4"x1/8" angle iron. 1 1/2" thick wood strips provided for fastening to cabinets. One-piece construction of drainboards, rims, back and return end/s with intersections of 1/4" radius. Drainboards with fan-shaped drain area. Sink bowls with 1 3/4" radius for horizontal and vertical corners integrally and seamlessly welded into top. Overlapping or soldered edges not permitted. Underside sound-deadened. Elkay “Lusterton” Custom Cabinet Sink and Countertops are fabricated of #18 gauge nickel bearing (18-8, Type 304) stainless steel bonded to, and reinforced with, #14 gauge steel plate and 3/4"x3/4"x1/8" angle iron. HEIGHT OF BACK 2. Intersections where sink bowls meet drainboards are rounded to FROM TOP OF RAISED RIM sanitary radii. *1 1/2" 3. Drainboard, sink bowls, raised rims and backsplash are welded, ground and polished smooth to a one-piece seamless appearance. 4. All corners in sink bowls (horizontal and vertical) are rounded to 1 3/4-inch radii. 5. Drainboards have large, fan-shaped areas pitched to drain. To incorporate pitch, drainboard must be minimum 15" long. 6. Entire underside of sink top and bowl is fully undercoated to dampen sound and prevent condensation. 7. Superior surface finish and satin luster achieved through special hand polishing operations by master craftsmen. HOW TO MEASURE 1. Measure, in inches, along wall or walls where top is to be installed. 2. Establish overall counter width, front to back, (standard is 25"), including backsplash thickness. 3. Determine height of backsplash (measured from top of raised rim.)* (Standard is 4") Determine thickness of backsplash, (Standard is 1 1/2"). 4. Determine sink bowl size and its location. (See pages 4 and 5.) 5. List special features such as range cutout, return ends, rounded corners, etc. (See pages 6 and 7.) * Explanatory Note: Elkay Custom Sink Tops and Countertops are provided with our standard 5/32" raised rim. Flat rim is available at no additional charge. For rims other than 5/32" or flat, please refer to Custom Feature #17 on page 7. HOW TO ORDER 1. When ordering Elkay custom made stainless steel sink and countertops, accuracy of dimensions is of the utmost importance. 2. Furnish a sketch of sink or counter arrangement marked with proper dimensions, and special features. Remember, you cannot give too much information. 3. Always include the following information: a) Show dimension from end of counter to center line of single compartment sink models…or b) Show dimension from end of counter to center line of partitions of two or more compartment sink models. c) Specify model number of faucet and other trim desire...
