One of Operation indicators(center) remains On Mood lamp Off Both lights ON . . . 08 cleaning your plasma ionizer For the best performance from your plasma ionizer, clean it periodically. When cleaning, make sure to unplug the unit for user’s safety. CLEANING THE EXTERIOR 1. Wipe the surface of the product with a slightly wet or dry cloth when needed. • Do not clean the product with alkaline detergent. • Do not use acid or organic solvent(kerosene, thinner, acetone, etc.) to clean the surface and do not attach any stickers. They may damage the surface of the product. CLEANING THE AIR FILTER Air filter traps dusts among the inducted air. Clean in regularly for your plasma ionizer to provide you with even more cleaner air. 1. Hold the product upside down and disconnect the power cable from the power port. 2. Clean the Air filter. Pull the Air filter in the and clean the dust with soft brush or vacuum cleaner. If dust is too heavy, then rinse it with running water and dry it in well ventilated area. 3. Insert the Air filter back in its position and reassemble the Base stand. Clean the Air filter every two weeks. The cleaning term may differ on usage and environmental condition. CAUTION cleaning your plasma ionizer CLEANING THE PIN ELECTRODE Pin electrode is where active hydrogen and oxygen ions are generated. Clean it regularly to have the optimal performance. 1. Hold the bottom part of the plasma ionizer. Rotate the Rooftop clockwise and then lift it up to open. 2. Clean the Pin electrode with the supplied cleaning brush. You can see better view of the internal parts by tilting the plasma ionizer. 3. Adjust the button part to locate in the middle of the SAMSUNG logo. If the button part is not located properly, buttons may not operate. 4. Match the position of the projection with the groove. Close the Rooftop by rotating it counter-clockwise until you hear ‘click’ sound. Clean the Pin electrode every two weeks. The cleaning term may differ on usage and environmental condition. Accumulated dust on the Pin discharger may cause performance decrease. CAUTION Cleaning brush Pin electrode 10 appendix TROUBLESHOOTING Refer to the following chart if the plasma ionizer operates abnormally. This may save time and unnecessary expenses. PROBLEM SOLUTION The plasma ionizer is not operating. • Check if there is a power failure. Make sure the power is on. • Check if the power plug properly connected. Connect the power plug properly and try again. • Check if the power receptacle is working properly. Try another power receptacle. Strange odors permeate in the room during operation. • Check if you are using the product in a smoky area or the odor is coming from nearby area. It can be less effective when the product is used in a place with excessive odor or smoke. Ventilate the area before using the plasma ionizer again. Not sure if plasma ionizer is operating. • Check if the Operation indicator is on. Press the button to turn the operation indicator on. There is no air coming out. • Check if the air filter is blocked with dust. Clean the air filter is it is dirty.
