Shoulddamageoccurinshipment,itisamatterbetweenthecarrierandtheconsignee.Insuchcases,thecarrierisassumedtoberesponsibleforthesafedeliveryofthemerchandise,unlessnegligencecanbeestablishedonthepartoftheshipper. 1.Makeanimmediateinspectionwhiletheequipmentisstillinthetruckorimmediatelyafteritismovedtothereceivingarea.Donotwaituntilafterthematerialismovedtoastoragearea. 2.Donotsignadeliveryreceiptorafreightbilluntilyouhavemadeapropercountandinspectionofallmerchandisereceived. 3.Notealldamagetopackagesdirectlyonthecarrier’sdeliveryreceipt. 4.Makecertainthedriversignsthisreceipt.Ifherefusestosign,makeanotationofthisrefusalonthereceipt. 5.Ifthedriverrefusestoallowinspection,writethefollowingonthedeliveryreceipt: Driverrefusestoallowinspectionofcontainersforvisibledamage. 6.Telephonethecarrier’sofficeimmediatelyuponfindingdamage,andrequestaninspection.Mailawrittenconfirmationofthetime,date,andthepersoncalled. 7.Saveanypackagesandpackingmaterialforfurtherinspectionbythecarrier. 8.Promptlyfileawrittenclaimwiththecarrierandattachcopiesofallsupportingpaperwork. Wewillcontinueourpolicyofassistingourcustomersincollectingclaimswhichhavebeenproperlyfiledandactivelypursued.Wecannot,however,fileanydamageclaimsforyou,assumetheresponsibilityofanyclaims,oracceptdeductionsinpaymentforsuchclaims. Alto-Shaam,Inc.warrantstotheoriginalpurchaserthatanyoriginalpartthatisfoundtobedefectiveinmaterialorworkmanshipwill,atAlto-Shaam'soption,subjecttoprovisionshereinafterstated,bereplacedwithaneworrebuiltpart. Thelaborwarrantyremainsineffectone(1)yearfrominstallationorfifteen(15)monthsfromtheshippingdate,whicheveroccursfirst. Alto-Shaamwillbearnormallaborchargesperformedduringstandardbusinesshours,andexcludingovertime,holidayratesoranyadditionalfees. Thepartswarrantyremainsineffectforone(1)yearfrominstallationorfifteen(15)monthsfromtheshippingdate,whicheveroccursfirst. However,theheatingelementonHaloHeat®cook/holdovensandtherefrigerationcompressoronAlto-ShaamQuickchillers™arewarrantedforaperiodoffive(5)yearsfrominstallation.Thelaborwarrantyisthesameasstatedabove;namely,forone(1)yearfrominstallationorfifteen(15)monthsfromtheshippingdate,whicheveroccursfirst.
