When using the Picture Motion Browser, you can view the folders easier than you can when using the Cyber-shot Viewer, as the registered folders are displayed by group when viewing folders. With its improved red-eye reduction adjustment and newly-added tone curve adjustment, the Picture Motion Browser also offers more powerful editorial features. You can also use the software to write data into an external memory card for taking it outside. Installing the printer driver Follow the procedures below to install the driver. Notes • Before installing the driver, do not connect the printer to the PC . • When using the Windows Vista/XP/2000, log on to Windows as a “Computer administrator” user account. • Be sure to close all running programs before installing the software. • The dialog boxes in this section are those in Windows XP, unless otherwise specified. The installation procedures and the dialog boxes shown differ depending on the operating system. 1 Turn on your PC, start Windows, and insert the supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of your PC. The installation window is displayed. Note In case the installation window is not automatically displayed, double-click the “Setup.exe” of the CD-ROM. 2 Click “Installing Printer Driver”. 3 Click “Next”. The license agreement dialog box is displayed. 4 Read the agreement thoroughly, and if you agree, check “I accept this agreement” and click “Next”. 40 GB The setup starts. 5 When “Sony DPP-FP60/70/90 printer driver has been successfully installed.” dialog is displayed, click “Finish”. 6 Connect the printer to the AC power source (. Read This First). 7 Press 1 (on/standby) switch to turn on the printer. 8 Connect the USB connectors of the printer and your PC with a USB cable (not supplied). To continue to install the Picture Motion Browser software, follow the procedures from step 2 on page 42. Notes • If the installation fails, remove the printer from your PC, restart your PC, and then do the installation procedures from the step 2. • After installation, the “Sony DPP-FP70” or “Sony DPP-FP90” is not set as the default printer. Set the printer you use for each application. • The supplied CD-ROM will be required when you uninstall or re-install the printer driver. Keep it in good order for possible future use. • Before you use the printer, read the Readme file (the Readme folder of the CD- ROMcEnglish foldercReadme.txt). If you finish registration, you can find support information at: Printing from a PC connector Continued 41 GB Uninstalling the printer driver Remove the printer driver as follows: 1 Disconnect the USB cable (not supplied) from your printer and the PC. 2 Click “Start” - “Printers and Faxes”. 3 Select “DPP-FP70” or “DPP-FP90”, and click “Delete” from the “File” menu. The confirmation dialog box is displayed. 4 Click “Yes”. 5 Check to see that “DPP-FP70” or “DPP-FP90” is removed from the “Printers and Faxes” window. 6 Click ”Server Properties” from the “File” menu, and click “Drivers” tab in the “Printers Server Properties” window. 7 Select “Sony DPP-FP70” or “Sony DPP-FP90” from the list box and click “Remove”. The confirmation dialog box is displayed. When using the Windows Vista, deletion may not be possible. You can safely leave it as it is. 8 Click “Yes”. 9 Click “Close” to close the “Printers Server Properties” window. 10Click “Start” - “Control Panel”. The Control Panel window is displayed. 11Open “Add or Remove Programs.” 12Select “Windows Driver Package – Sony DPP-FP60/70/90” and click “Change/Remove”.
