Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing the ASUS Notebook Local Onsite Service Package (LOSP). ASUS
provides continuing warranty service during the extended period to allow you to enjoy using your
ASUS notebook with guaranteed ASUS support.
ASUS Notebook Local Onsite Service Policy
1. This ASUS Notebook Local Onsite Service Package (LOSP) is designed for ASUS brand
notebook. It provides professional onsite service only in the country where the notebook is
purchased.
2. For technical hardware issues (excluding abnormal conditions, referred in later content) that
cannot be resolved during ASUS online call and remote troubleshooting, ASUS will provide
onsite technical support for the covered hardware to return it to its functional condition.
3. The package provides your notebook three years of local onsite service during the standard
two-year warranty and the one- year warranty extension periods. Please note that both the
Local Onsite Service period and the Manufactures Local Warranty including the extension
shall run concurrently.
4. The LOSP must be registered and activated online. If the online registration and activation are
not completed within 90 days from the date of purchase, your LOSP will expire and you will not
be able to benefit from your newly purchased LOSP.
5. The notebook battery is regarded as a consumable part. Due to the battery’s life cycle, there is
only one-year warranty coverage on this part. The out-of-warranty battery is not covered by
the LOSP.
6. Other free accessories and bundles, including but not limited to carry bags, support discs,
cables & wires, or mouse, are not covered by the LOSP.
Limitations
The LOSP covers and offers onsite service only to technical hardware issues during the service
coverage and warranty period, and under normal use conditions. It does not apply to any software
issue or Customer Induced Damages or circumstances listed but not limited to as below:
1. The product has been tampered, repaired or modified by non-authorized personnel;
2. The serial number on the notebook, components or accessories has been altered, cancelled
or removed;
3. The warranty seals have been broken or altered;
4. There is damage caused by accident, natural disaster, intentional or accidental misuse, abuse,
neglect or improper maintenance, or use under abnormal conditions;
5. There is installation or connection to a peripheral device that is non-ASUS brand or not sold by
ASUS
6. There is damage caused by improper installation or improper connection to a peripheral
device such as printer, optical drive, network card, or USB device;
7. There is damage caused by an external electrical fault or any accident;
8. There is damage from use outside of the operation or storage parameters or environment
detailed in the ASUS Notebook User's Manual;
9. There is damage from use of parts not manufactured or sold by ASUS;
10. There is damage to or loss of any program, data or removable storage media, or if there is
costs involved in recovering any program or data;
11. There is damage from third party software or from viruses; or
