2. Remove any installed cards from the ExpressCard slot or the 8-in-1 Media Card Reader. 3. Remove the battery (see Removing the Battery). 4. Remove the base cover (see Removing the Base Cover). 5. Disconnect the following cables from their corresponding connectors on the system board: l Fan cable — pull the cable away from the connector l AC adapter cable — pull the cable away from the connector l WWAN module cable — lift the black tab and pull the cable away from the connector l I/O board cable — lift the black tab and pull the cable away from the connector l Network cable — pull the cable away from the connector 14. Remove the five screws that secure the system board to the computer base. 15. Lift the system board at an angle toward the side of the computer and out of the computer base. Replacing the System Board 1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin. 2. Replace the five screws that secure the system board to the computer base. 4.
