GAIN: Controls the input sensitivity of the BassKick preamp. Adjust to match your instrument’s output level. Higher gain settings produce punchy rock sounds. MID: Determines to what extent the midrange is boosted or cut. TREBLE: Controls the upper frequencies and subsequently the crispness and overtone content in your bass sound. For a warmer sound, this control is situated right after the input stage in the signal chain. In other words, it also influences preamp saturation. The DYNACLIP power amp circuitry kicks in at higher volume levels, adding an aggressive edge to your bass tone. ACTIVE INPUT: For basses with high output levels, such as instruments with active electronics or humbucking pickups. PASSIVE INPUT: For traditional basses featuring passive pickups and circuitry. GRAFIC EQ BASSKICK-MANUAL 3.2 THE INPUT AND EQ SECTIONS While the SoundMatrix enables you to quickly and effectively select drastically modified sounds, the BassKick EQ section serves primarily to adapt your bass setup to the room as well as to the instrument you are using. You can of course also use the EQ section for the creation of individual sounds.
