Consult the description on that user's manual. (SI RRC OUT CONNECTOR (6) GROUP INDICATORS PANEL DESCRIPTION (1) NUMBER PEDALS 1-8 These pedals are used to choose the desired number within the currently- assigned bank. (2) NUMBER INDICATORS Show the current number. (3) BANK PEDAL Pressing this pedal will flash BANK DISPLAY (8). Bank numbers can be changed using NUMBER PEDALS (1). (4) CONTROL PEDAL The function of this pedal will vary according to the setting on the host unit. See the user's manual of the host unit for detail. (5) CONTROL INDICATOR The lighting mode of this indicator is determined by the functional mode of the CONTROL PEDAL (4). (6) GROUP INDICATORS The lighting indicator is showing which group is in use. (7) GROUP PEDAL Pressing this pedal repeatedely will alternately select group A and 8. (8) BANK DISPLAY Shows the current bank number. (9) RRC OUT CONNECTOR To be connected to the host unit via RRC cable supplied. (10) EXPRESSION PEDAL JACK This connection is for the optional pedal, Roland EV-5. The application is choosen from the host unit. Various problems could arise in this connection if a pedal other than EV-5 is plugged into this jack. (11) TUNE SIGNAL OUT JACK This jack sends out signals for a tuner such as BOSS TU-12. The output from this jack features such frequency response that allows precise tuning. (12) MODE SELECTOR SWITCH This switch sets the functional mode of CONTROL PEDAL (4). The setting should be made according to the requirement on the host unit. See user's manual of the*host unit for detail. If it is not installed and used properly, that is. in strict accordance with our instructions, it may cause interference with radio and television reception. This equipment has bean tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B computing device in accordence with the specifications in Suboart J. of Part IS, of FCC Rules. These rules are designed to provide reasonable protection against such a interference in a residential instellation. However, there is no guarantee that the interference wilt not occur in a particular installation. If this eouipmenr does cause interfere nee to radio or television reception, wnich can be determined by turning the equipment on and off, the user ii encouraged to try to correct the interference by tha following meesure: • Disconnect other devices end their input/output cables one at a time. If the interference stops, it is caused by either the other device or its I/O cable. These devices usually require Roland designated shielded I/O cables. For Roland devices, you can obtain the proper shielded cable from your dealer. For non Roland devices, contact the manufacturer or dealer for assistance. If your equipment does cause interference to radio or television reception, you can try to correct the interference by using one or more of the following measures: • Turn tha TV or radio antenne until the interference stops. ■ Move the equipment to one tide or the other of the TV or redio. • Move the equipment farther away from the TV or radio. • Plug the equipment into an outlet thet it on a different circuit than the TV or radio. (That is, make certain the equipment and the radio or television set are on circuits controlled by different circuit breakers or fuses.) • Consider installing a rooftop television antenna with coaxial cable lead-in between the antenna and TV. If necessary, you should consult your deeler or an experienced radio/television technician for additional suggestions.
