If so, change the angle or position of the unit. • Avoid using the unit in excessive heat or humidity or where it may be affected by direct sunlight or dust. • Use a soft cloth and clean only with a mild detergent. • Do not use solvents such as paint thinner. O 0 Front Panel O Input Jack This jack receives signal sent from a musical instrument, or from a mixer. © Effect Switch This switch turns on or off the chorus effect. Pressing the switch will turn the effect on, and pressing it again turns it off. 0 Effect Indicator This lights up when the chorus effect is on. O Input Level Control This adjusts the level of the signal fed into the CE-300. 0 Input Level Indicators The current input level set with the Input Level Control can be seen'with these indicators. • Just after the CE-300 is turned on, the indicators may light up for a few seconds without any input signal, but there is nothing to worry about. o Modulation Rate Control This knob determines the frequency of the LFO, therefore changes the rate of the chorus effect. Rotating this clockwise quicken the rate. 0 Modulation Depth Control This knob determines the depth of the LFO modulation. Rotating the knob clockwise deepens the chorus effect. Q Direct Mute Switch This switch can mute the direct signal, therefore should be turned on when you want only delay signal output, such as when the CE-300 is set up between the Send and the Return of a mixer. • If the Effect Switch is turned off, and the Direct Mute Switch on, there is no sound output. Q Direct Mute Indicator This light up when the Direct Mute Switch is turned on. G i !> C » c ) ( > c a \ ^ EFFECT DN/OFF E OUTPUT A(A fB) IT © Chorus Tone Control This controls the tone color of high frequency range. Rotating it clockwise will make sharper chorus effect. • This control has no effect on the direct signal. © Chorus Level Control This adjusts the level of the chorus sound. • This control has no effect on the direct signal. At its fully counterclockwise position, only direct sound is obtained. © Output Jack A (A + B) This is to send out the signal with chorus effect. • For monaural output, use this jack. 0 Output Jack B This is to send out the signal with chorus effect inverting LFO modulation. © Power Switch © Power Indicator Rear Panel © Input Jack This jack receives signal sent from a musical instrument (electronic, electric), or from a mixer. © Output Jack A (A + B) This is to send out the signal with chorus effect. • For monaural output, use this jack. © Output Jack B This is to send out the signal with chorus effect created by inverting LFO modulation. © Effect Remote Jack Connect the Footswitch FS-1 to this jack, and you can turn the effect on or off with pedal operation. • When the Effect Switch is turned off, the above remote control does not work. © Ground Terminal CONNECTION 8e OPERATION ““Il II I™ вовшцдВишыпоаав : If III lllllllllllllll 'I III Electric Guitar Keyboard Mixer Speaker Speaker Amplifier Amplifier © Turn the Effect Switch on. (2) Connect the output of a musical instrument or the Echo (Effect) Send to the Input Jack. • The CE-300 has the rated input level of -20dBm, therefore a microphone cannot be directly connected to the Input Jack. (Use the Mixer ESX-400.) • If both Input Jacks on the front and rear panels are used at a time, the one on the front panel has priority. (3) To obtain natural and rich chorus effect, you may connect the both Output A and B to the amplifiers' inputs. For monaural output, however, use the Output Jack A(A+B). © Rotate the Input Level Control until desirable volume is obtained. • The appropriate position is where the Input Level Indicators up to + 6dB light up. • If the signal exceeding the maximum input level (over + 12dBm) of the CE-300 has been fed, the created sound may still be distorted even if input level is set to low. (5) Set the Modulation Rate, and Modulation Depth Controls to around the blue markings. Then while actually listening the sound, set them to your taste. • The both Outputs on the front and rear panels can be in use at a time.
