Vor Inbetriebnahme unbedingt die Bedienungsanleitung lesen. A A ENGLISH Dirty Dog™ Papers Congratulations on your purchase of the Dirty Dog'“ floor effects pedal. The Dirty Dog provides an inexpensive means to introduce Peavey’s famous Transtube® technology to any existing instrument/effects/amplifier combination. The Transtube circuitry produces a tube-like sound others have only attempted to develop. The Dirty Dog features two totally separate preamps, each with its own tone and gain adjustments. Though the Dirty Dog can stand alone as a powerful preamp, its versatile circuitry also makes it ideal as a foot-switchable gain boost to complement your present configuration. A bypass switch allows you to place the Dirty Dog in and out of your signal chain between those critical lead and rhythm passages. All these features and this dog doesn’t even need shots. Just feed it 9 volts and a guitar signal and witness the tricks this little guy will do. Best of all......no house-training! The following diagrams show the top and back view of the Dirty Dog. Refer to the corresponding numbered descriptions below for a detailed explanation of each feature. THE LEAD CHANNEL: The Lead channel is intended to give you that extra boost during lead passages. By switching from the Crunch channel to the Lead channel you essentially boost the gain and midrange slightly allowing this to happen. Various combinations of Boost switch and Growl control settings offer singing clean or screaming dirty tones with increased sustain. Refer to the “Recommended Setting” section to get a good starting point and experiment from there. boost f * 5 , (?) © LEAD 4 ? 6 4 ? 6 3 S' 7 3 "N 7 3 -8 2- 4 ? 6 \ / -8 2- F10 s "o / - -0 r T GRO 1. Bark: Controls the overall output of the Dirty Dog when the Lead channel is being used. The Bark control can be compared to the volume or post gain controls you may have experienced before. 2. Boost: Boosts the overall gain to give you even more punch from the Lead channel. Pressing this switch in (down) activates the Boost feature. © © 3. Bite: Adjusts the tone of the Lead channel signal. Rotating this control clock-wise will result in more high frequency content and, therefore, a brighter signal at the output. 4. Growl: This control is placed before the Bark control in the signal chain and is comparable to the pre-gain controls you may have experienced in the past. Use this control to increase (clock-wise) or decrease distortion in the Lead channel. 5. Lead LED: Illuminates a bright red glow to indicate the Lead channel is active. THE CRUNCH CHANNEL: The Crunch channel is designed to be the ideal rhythm channel. With less gain and midrange content than the Lead channel, the Crunch channel provides a punchy and tight tone even at low levels. The slight differences in the two channels complement each other greatly and offer enough variance to fulfill virtually any tone requirement. Once again, refer to the “Recommended Settings” section for a good starting point. 6. Bark: Controls the overall output of the Dirty Dog when the Crunch channel is being used. The Bark control can be compared to the volume or post gain controls you may have experienced before. 7. Thrash: Boosts the overall gain to give you even more punch from the Crunch channel. The Thrash switch also inserts a notch filter to reduce midfrequency content resulting in an apparent increase in distortion. Pressing this switch in (down) activates the Thrash feature. 8. Bite: Adjusts the tone of the Crunch channel signal. Rotating this control clock-wise will result in more high frequency content and, therefore, a brighter signal at the output. 9. Growl: This control is placed before the Bark control in the signal chain and is comparable to the pre-gain controls you may have experienced in the past....
