The jet may not be directed at per- sons, animals, live electrical equipment or at the appliance itself. Fuel spray jets must be tested regularly and the results of these tests must be documented in writing. –The heating appliance of the machine is an ignition plant. All national laws and regulations about heating systems must also be followed. Safety instructionsSafety Devices18EN18EN – 3The pressure switch turns the device off when the handgun is closed and switch on when the handgun is opened. –The safety valve opens in case of ex- cessive pressure in the boiler or if the overflow valve or the pressure switch is broken. –The safety valve is set by the manufac- turer and sealed. Setting only by cus- tomer service. The water shortage safeguard prevents the burner to be turned on when there is water shortage. The temperature stop switches off the ma- chine when the waste gases have reached very high temperatures. The winding proctection contact in the motor winding of the pump drive switches off the en- gine when there is a thermal overload. The safety catch on the trigger gun pre- vents the appliance from being switched on unintentionally. WarningRisk of injury! Device, tubes, high pressure hose and connections must be in faultless condition. Otherwise, the appliance must not be used. .Connect ray tube with hand spray gun .Mount the nozzle on the spray pipe (mark- ings on the adjustment ring at the top). .Appliance without hose drum: Connect the high pressure host to the high pressure connection point of the machine. DangerRisk of explosion! Only refill diesel oil or light fuel oil. The operation with bio diesel as per EN 14214 (starting at an outside temperature of 6 °C) is possible. Unsuita- ble fuels, e.g. petrol, are not to be used. CautionNever operate device with empty fuel tank The fuel pump will otherwise be destroyed. This also applies to cold water operation. .Open fuel filler cap. .Refill fuel. .Close tank lock. .Wipe off spilled fuel. CautionRisk of injury! –Use Karcher products only. –Under no circumstances vacuum sol- vents (petrol, aceton, diluting agent etc.). –Avoid eye and skin contact. –Observe safety and handling instruc- tions by the detergent manufacturer. Karcher offers an individual cleaning and care appliances program. Your dealer will consult you gladly. .Fill/replace external detergent container. WarningObserve regulations of water supplier. According to the applicable regula- tions, the appliance must never be used on the drinking water supply without a system separator. Use a suitable system separator manufactured by KARCHER; or, as an alternative, a system separator as per EN 12729 Type BA. Water flowing through a system separator is con- sidered non-drinkable. CautionAlways connect the system separator to the water supply, never directly to the appli- ance! Never suck in liquids which con- tain solvents like lacquer thinner, petrol, oil or unfiltered water. The sealings within the device are not solvent resistant.
