Simply pull the handle and cleat the line to raise and lock rudder up. Release line from the cleat to lower the rudder. When the rudder is down, it is automatically held down with an internal spring. Webbing Steering Line Tension To achieve a responsive feel with the rudder system, you can easily add or remove tension on the steering lines by turning the small knob on the bottom side of the tiller handle. HOBIEFlSHING.COM 6 Seat Install Installing and removing your seat is fun and easy. There are four attchment points, the rear two slide into place and the forward two are held down with the included seat screws. Forward seat attachment points Seat attachment screws Rear seat attachment points To install the seat begin by moving the steering line / tiller assembly to either side. Line the back of the seat up with the two rear attachment points. The seat frame is able to telescope in or out a small amount to account for tolerances. Once in line, simply slide the seat back and into place. Steering Handle Install Installing and removing the steering assembly is quick and easy. You'll need to install the assembly on a new boat and you'll need to remove it when you remove the seat. The steering handle assembly can also be switched to the right side of the seat if desired. Steering line calibration is required when switching sides, this adjustment should be made at the back of the boat under the rudder access cover (see page 5). To install match the raised rectangle section on the top of the assembly to the matching notched section in the seat bottom, line up strait front to back and slide back in place until you hear and feel a snap. The snap comes from the metal tongue you see on the top of the assembly. To remove the assembly you'll need to press down on the metal tongue and slide the assembly forward. Basic Watercraft Information More Boat Features Horizontal Rod Storage Built into both sides of the boat so you can keep your favorite tackle ready but out of the way of over-hangings or a fighting fish.
