With your new Satinelle super sensitive you can remove unwanted hairs quickly and effectively in an extra-gentle way. . The new double-active pain softener relaxes your skin like a massage, thereby more effectively masking the sensation of epilation.As a result, you will hardly feel any pain. . The rapidly rotating epilating discs catch even the shortest hairs (even as short as half a millimetre!) and quickly remove them by the root.As a result, your skin stays smooth for up to four weeks and regrowth is soft and downy. Important . Check if the mains voltage indicated on the adapter plug corresponds to your local mains voltage before you connect the appliance. . Make sure the appliance does not come into contact with water. . To prevent damage and injuries, keep the running appliance away from your hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, clothes, threads, cords, brushes etc. . Keep the appliance out of the reach of children. . Only use the appliance in combination with the adapter plug supplied. . If the adapter plug of this appliance is damaged, it may only be replaced with a adapter plug of the original type.Turn to your Philips dealer or the Philips organisation in your country for replacement. . Do not expose the appliance to temperatures lower than 5 cC or higher than 35 cC. . Do not use the epilating head on irritated skin or skin with varicose veins, rashes, spots, moles (with hairs) or wounds without consulting your doctor first. People with a reduced immune response, e.g. during pregnancy, or people who suffer from diabetes mellitus, haemophilia or immunodeficiency should also consult their doctor first. . Your skin may become a little red and irritated the first few times you use the epilator.This phenomenon will soon disappear as your skin becomes used to epilation and the hairs become thinner and softer. If the irritation does not disappear within three days,we advise you to consult a doctor. . Regular massages with a loofah may help to prevent ingrowing hairs. Do not use the loofah immediately before or after epilation. . Only epilate the armpits and bikini line with the precision cap (B) attached. General information about epilation . Epilating with the Satinelle super sensitive will leave your skin smooth and hair-free for weeks. As epilation may cause skin irritation or ingrown hairs in some women,we advise you to read the text below. . When you use the appliance for the first time, we advise you to try it out on an area with only light hair growth to get accustomed to the epilation process. . (Type HP6444 only) This appliance has been extensively tested on the armpits and the bikini line. Some women will develop skin irritation when they epilate these areas for the first time. We therefore advise you to try out the appliance on a small patch of skin first. . After use you can apply a mild cream or body milk to soothe your skin and reduce skin irritation. . Epilation is easier just after taking a shower or a bath.Your skin must be completely dry, however. . We advise you to epilate before going to bed at night.Any skin irritation that may occur will diminish overnight. Make sure your skin is clean, entirely dry and free from grease. Do not use any cream before you start epilating. 1 Put the adapter plug (J) in the wall socket. 2 Insert the appliance plug (H) into the inlet socket (G). (Fig. 2) 3 Remove the protective cover (A). (Fig. 3) 4 Switch the appliance on by sliding the on/off switch (F) to the desired speed setting: Select speed I (Fig. 4) for areas with little hair growth and for areas where bones are located directly beneath the skin, such as knees and ankles. Select speed II (Fig. 5) for larger areas with stronger hair growth. 5 Stretch the skin with your free hand to make the hairs stand upright. (Fig. 6) 6 Place the epilating head (D) perpendicularly onto the skin so that the epilating head (D) and the pain softener (E) are in proper contact with the skin. 7 Move the appliance slowly, with the pain softener (E) pointing forward, against the direction of hair growth. Do not exert any pressure. 8 Stretch your leg when you are epilating the back of your knee. 9 Switch the appliance off by sliding the on/off switch (F) to O.
