It will switch itself off automatically. The cooling fan can also come on automatically although the oven is switched off if the residual heat in the oven is too high. However vitreous enamel is adversely affected by fruit acids (rhubarb, lemon, etc.),and tea which wili discolour and dull the enamel. The performance of the oven is not affected.
