Use a block of wood to prevent blade rotation while loosening the capscrew. 5. Reinstall the large washer (B, Figure 5), spring washer (C) and capscrew (D). Secure the puck (C, Figure 6) to lower chute (A) using 5/16-18 x 3/4 capscrew (D) and 5/16-18 locknut (E). 3. Install bracket (F) to lower chute (A) using 5/16-18 x 3/4 capscrews (D) and 5/16-18 locknuts (E). INSTALL LATCH AND HINGE TO COVER ASSEMBLY 1. Install the latch (B, Figure 7) to the cover assembly (A) securing with #10-24 x 5/8 screws (D) and #10-24 locknuts (C) as shown. 2. Install Channel Assembly A. Channel Assembly B. Hitch C. Pin INSTALL CHANNEL ASSEMBLY AND “U”-TUBE 1. Slide the channel assembly (A, Figure 8) into hitch (B) as shown. 2. Install the pin (C) into the right side of hitch (B) and turn pin (C) counterclockwise to lock in place. 3. Install the “L” channel (E, Figure 9) and “U” tube (A) to channel assembly (B) as shown. Secure with 5/16-18 x 1-3/4 carriage bolts (C), saddle clamps (F), and 5/16-18 nuts (D). 4. Install 5/16-18 x 3/4 capscrew (G) and 5/16-18 locknut (D) as shown. INSTALL TUBES AND END PLUGS 1. Install the center tube (A, Figure 10) to RH side of channel assembly (B) as shown. Secure with 5/1624 screws, 5/16 lockwashers (C) and 5/16-24 nuts (D). 2. Cover B. Pin C. Hair Pin D. Channel Assembly INSTALL COVER TO CHANNEL ASSEMBLY 1. Set the cover (A, Figure 11) on channel assembly. Slide pin (B) through hinge on cover and channel assembly (D) securing with hair pin (C). INSTALL CLIP TO BAG ASSEMBLY 1. Slide the white bar (A, Figure 12) onto smooth edge of bag frame and assembly (B) as shown. Bag, Chute and Tube Installation INSTALL COLLECTOR BAGS 1. Raise the cover (A, Figure 13). 2. Slide collector bags (B) onto tubes (C) with the white bar towards the rear. Note: It may be necessary to fold seat forward to allow cover to stay in the raised position. A C B Figure 13. Install Collector Bags A. Cover B. Collector Bags C. Tubes 8 Install Latch & Hinge LOWER DISCHARGE CHUTE INSTALLATION 1. Lift discharge deflector up (D, Figure 14). 2. Slide the notch of bracket (G) on to deflector hinge rod (F). 3. Secure the front of lower chute (A) to carriage bolt (D) using wing nut (B). Note: Locknut (C) is intended to keep wing nut (B) permanently on carriage bolt (D). CONNECTING DISCHARGE TUBE 1. Slide discharge tube (B, Figure 15) into seal (C). It may be necessary to lengthen several slits (F) in order for tube (A) to fit into seal (B) 2. Attach the discharge tube (B, Figure 15 and Inset) to boot (A) and secure the tube by moving wire form (E) down over metal puck (D). A F B D C EG Figure 14. Install Lower Discharge Chute 3A.
