No. 1694332 Instructions NOTICE: This attachment and its documents are produced for Simplicity Mfg. by Brinly-Hardy. The contact Brinly-Hardy with questions or comments. 1 MODEL 1694332 ATTACHING KIT For Mounting 1690819 Lawn Dethatcher (not included) to 2002 Simplicity Prestige, Conquest and Broadmoor Riders NOTE: The Lift Handle (19) and Lift Lock Bar (20) furnished with Lawn Dethatcher will not be used. New parts required are furnished with this Attaching Kit. All other parts will be used. DETHATCHER ASSEMBLY Follow steps Fig.l through Fig. 7 in the 1690819 Instructions with the following exception: * Refer to Fig. 1: Attach lift bracket (A) to RIGHT Wheel Support with formed leg facing towards center of Tray. LIFT LOCK BRACKET Refer to Photo A: * Remove the two 3/8” Frame Bolts above Front Axle at right hand side of Tractor. Attach Lift Lock Bracket, furnished with this Kit to these holes, using longer 3/8“ x 1-1/4” Hex bolts furnished with this Kit. * Attach Handle Retaining Strap to outside of Lift Lock Bracket as shown using two 5/16” x 1” Carriage Bolts, Lock Washers and four Hex Nuts as shown. NOTE: Two of the Hex Nuts are used as spacers TRACTOR PREPARATION Dethatcher will mount in long slots in front Mower Attaching Bracket of Tractor. Two stop bolts are assembled in these slots to limit movement of Dethatcher. Refer to Photo B: * Assemble a 3/8” x Ya" Hex Bolt to slots at each side of frame, with a 3/8” Flat Washer at each side of slots (four total), lock Washers and Hex Nuts. Position the bolts so there is V” slot showing at front and tighten securely. MOUNTING TO TRACTOR Refer to Photo C * Position Lawn Dethatchcr at front of Tractor over Mower Attaching Bracket. Slide the Pivot Rod (furnished with Dethatcher) through Dethatcher Frame and Mower Bracket WITH A SPACER BETWEEN FRAMES AT EACH SIDE. Secure with two Hairpin Cotters furnished * Slide the Lift Handle (furnished with this Kit, handle portion away from tractor) through the opening in Lift Lock Bracket and Retaining Strap. Attach to Lift Bracket on Dethatcher Tray using three Flat Washers and Hairpin Cotter. Adjust Lift Bracket, if necessary, to assure Lift Handle does not bind in opening.
