• Separate the hair dryer from the power source immediately after use. Should you do so, the safety of the appliance may be compromised and the warranty becomes void. Arrange for the hair dryer to be serviced and repaired only by qualified specialists. Risk of fire and burns • This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiences in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the appliance is to be used. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. • When it is switched on, NEVER lay the hair dryer down or leave it unsupervised. • Never place the hair dryer close to sources of heat and protect the power cable against potential damage. • Do not take the hair dryer into use if it has fallen down or is damaged in any way. Switch the hair dryer on with the blower level switch r. The hair dryer is fitted with two function switches. With these you can separately select the strength of the air flow ( Blower switch r) and the level of heat (Heat level switch e): Blower levels 0 The hair dryer is switched off I reduced air flow II maximum air flow Heat levels • cold air flow •• lower heat level ••• maximum heat level With the cool level switch “Cool-Shot” y you can produce a cooler air flow with every combination of blower and heat levels. After use, switch the appliance off by moving the blower switch r into the position “0”. Then remove the plug from the wall socket. Drying and styling hair To quickly dry hair, we recommend first of all using a high blower and heater setting for a short period. Afterwards, place the settings at a lower level to shape and form the hair. With the enclosed styling jet q, which can be turned to all positions, you can studiously use the air flow for styling. If you wish to dry your hair particulary gently, or for the so-called “air-dryed permanent wave”, use the finger diffusor u. For this, first of all remove the styling jet q, then replace it with the finger diffusor. Before you comb your hair out allow it to cool, so that the styling retains its form. For cooling the hair you can use the switch “Cool-Shot” y or level • of the heat level switch e. Attention! First pack and transport the hair dryer when it has completely cooled down. Cleaning the housing To clean the housing, use a soft cloth moistened with a mild soapy solution. Cleaning the air suction grill Risk of Fire! Clean the air suction grill w at regular intervals with a soft brush. Press the air suction grill wtogether, from above and below, so that you can release it from the hair dryer. Clean the openings of the air suction grill w with a soft brush. Insert the upper securing lug of the air suction grill w into the guide on the hair dryer. Then press the lower securing lug into the hair dryer until the air suction grill w audibly engages. Danger of an electrical shock! After being cleaned, the hair dryer must be completely dry before using it again. Troubleshooting Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations.
