DVD-Audio Operation This DECK, equipped with a 192 kHz/ 24 bit Audio D/A converter, supports DVD-Audio recorded with high quality sound. The DVD-Audio feature includes “Still Image Skip” and “Bonus Group Playback” functions. (See below.) Please refer to “Basic DVD Operation” on pages 22 and 23. Still Image Skip DVD-Audio still images (only if contained) can be skipped over. PAGE : 1 Press PAGE in Play or Pause mode to display the still image and page number. Each press of PAGE changes page number as shown below. • Pressing PAGE on the last page returns to PAGE 1. Press PAGE Press PAGE Press PAGE Press PAGEPAGE: 1 PAGE : 2 PAGE : 3 ....... PAGE : XX SELECT SELECT : PAGE : 2 • Still Image Skip function not available with all discs.Note Bonus Group playback Some DVD-Audio discs contain Bonus Group tracks which can be played by entering a 4-digit secret code. 1 Press DISPLAY in stop mode to display “On-Screen Displays.” Note • During playback, Bonus Group tracks cannot be selected. 2 2 SELECT : SET : SET NEXT : DISPLAY GROUP : 2 DVD-AUDIO TRACK : 1 00 : 12 : 34 Press to select “GROUP,” and press SET. Press or NUMBER keys to select bonus group number, and press SET(see pp. 44, 45.) Notes • If the proper secret code is already entered, Bonus Group tracks can be selected. (Secret code enter screen is skipped.) • This code is specifically for the disc and differs from Parental Lock secret code (p. 52). Please refer to disc jacket instructions. DVDOperation 3 BONUS GROUP ENTER 4-D I G I T CODE Press NUMBER keys to enter bonus group secret code, and press SET. --To Make Corrections Press repeatedly to move the cursor. Press NUMBER keys to make the correction. • When the proper secret code has been entered, Bonus Group track 1 playback Note begins. If a mistake is made, the secret code enter screen is redisplayed. 4 Press CLEARto return to normal screen. 41 DVD-RAM Operation (DVD-RAM only) DVD-RAM Operation (DVD-RAM only) You can enjoy playing your personally recorded/edited DVD-RAM discs on this DECK. Note • This DECK was designed for playback only. DVD-RAM recording is not possible. Play a DVD-RAM 1 Do steps 1 ~ 3 on page 22. • Play begins from the first program title recorded on the DVD-RAM. 2 2 Press TITLE* or MENU to display Direct Navigator or Play List menu for easy title or scene selection. • See below for Direct Navigator or next page for Play List information. 3 Press STOP to stop playing. 4 Press OPEN/CLOSEto eject the disc. Direct Navigator If the DVD-RAM features Direct Navigator, a list of recorded titles is displayed. Simply select a title number and start playback.
