Note: 1. Language and subtitle selections are available only for discs that are recorded in the languages listed above. If the selected language is not available, the player will play and display on the screen the original language recorded in the disc. 2. The Parental setup 8 levels are listed from the lowest level (1 Kid Safe) to the highest level (Adult). Enter a 4 digit password ( Left, Left, Menu, Right) to change it and the level of 8 Adult is default setting. Especially if the unit don’t allow to play a disc since the parental lock, you can input the correct password to pass the inspection. 11 J. Menu When you play a DVD, disc’s main menu will appear on the screen of your TV or Monitor. The contents of the menu vary from disc to disc. Press MENU during playback to display the main menu. Some DVDs only allow you to select disc playback options using the DVD’s main menu. K. Playing Audio CDs When playing an audio CD, the screen will display the elapsed playback time of the current track. Use Pause, Previous, and Next to navigate through the CD. CD Playing Screen L. Playing MP3 Discs CD-R /RW discs that have been encoded in MP3 format are compatible with this system. When you insert an MP3 CD, the DVD player will initialize the disc and the directory (folder) will be shown on the TV screen. MP3 MENU Screen 12 When an MP3 disc is inserted into the unit, the menu screen appears and plays the MP3 tracks automatically. You can use the menu screen to change folders and songs. The system will play the songs in the order they were burned onto the disc. 1. Press the up or down button to choose a folder from the folder list on the left side of the screen. 2. Press OK to select the highlighted folder. The songs available under the folder will be listed. 3. Use the up and down buttons to choose a song from the list. Press OK to select and begin playback of the highlighted song. 4. Press NEXT to move to the next song. Press the PREVIOUS to move to the beginning of the previous song. NOTICE icon in front of a file name indicates that this is a folder, not an MP3file. in front of a file name indicates that this is an MP3 file. M. Playing JPEG files 1) Load a JPEG Disc into the tray. 2) Select a JPEG file by pressing UP and DOWN. 3) You can preview the JPEG file by pressing PLAY or OK. 4) Press MENU to view the JPEG files. A menu will appear on the screen. Press PLAY to return. 5) Press PLAY, to play the JPEG file. 13 14 N. Connecting to accessories 1. Output You can connect the DVD player to a TV to enjoy high quality stereo sound and picture on another monitor. Switch the AV IN/OUT switch to Out so that the unit can output signals. Connect one end of the AV cable (3.5MM jack) into the unit’s AV Socket. Connect the other end to the AV INPUT Jacks on your TV or Monitor through an optional RCA output cable (white = left channel, red = right channel, yellow=video). Note: You may use optional wired headphones with the unit. Simply plug the headset into Headphone jack on the left side of the player’s screen. Note: Plugging into headphone jack 1 disables the internal speakers. 2. Input When the IN/OUT switch is in the IN position, the unit can receive AV signals. You can connect the DVD player to a game/camcorder through the AV jack. Connect the AV Cable 3.5mm jack into the DVD AV socket. Then, connect the three colour corresponding plugs to the AV Output Jacks on your game/camcorder or other equipment. O.
