The 1:10 Nascar® RC features Dale Earnhardt, Sr. (# 3). You and your friends will enjoy hours of fun driving your 1:10 Nascar® RC. Your 1:10 Nascar® RC is easy to use but be sure to use it safely. Before starting, please read this manual thoroughly, especially noting safety, care and battery information. Keep this manual for reference. This package contains the 1:10 Nascar® RC, its transmitter, its battery cartridge, its tube for one vehicle antenna, its transmitter antenna, and its user’s guide. Remove battery cover located at the back. 2. Insert one 9-volt battery following the +/- marking. 3. Replace battery cover. To install the power pack in your 1:10 Nascar® RC, please follow the following steps: 1. Insert six AA batteries following the +/- marking. 2. Place loaded battery cartridge on the underside of the vehicle following the +/- marking. 3. Lock up and secure the battery cartridge. (Also see Battery Information on page 10.) 3 ENGLISH ENGLISH ENGLISH ENGLISH What is included with 1:10 Nascar® RC Manual 4 Functions of Buttons LEFT SWITCH ON TRANSMITTER: Switch up to drive the vehicle forward. Switch down to drive the vehicle in reverse. RIGHT SWITCH ON TRANSMITTER: Switch left to steer the vehicle left. Switch right to steer the vehicle. TRIM SWITCH CONTROL: The trim switch is located on the underside of your vehicle. This is used to align the wheels for consistent straight line driving. Switch left or right to align the wheels. ON/OFF SWITCH: Switch to turn the transmitter on or off. ON/OFF/SPEAKER OFF SWITCH: Switch ON to turn drive the vehicle with sound. Switch OFF to turn the vehicle off. Switch SPEAKER OFF to drive the vehicle without sound. 5 ENGLISH ENGLISH ENGLISH ENGLISH How to Play To begin, insert the antenna wire through the hollow tube. Avoid pulling the wire too tight. The wire is on the top of your 1:10 Nascar® RC. Tie a knot on top to secure. Turn the switch to the ON position for power. In a clockwise direction, screw the antenna into the cavity located at the top of the transmitter. Use the control switches on the transmitter to drive your 1:10 Nascar® RC. It will allow you to drive it forward, reverse, left and right. You can also honk its horn and lift its left and right doors up. Use both control switches to turn. If you want to turn right while driving forward, switch the right switch right and switch the left switch up. If you want to turn left while driving in reverse, switch the right switch left and switch the left switch back. Tips • If your vehicle does not respond to the transmitter, move closer to your 1:10 Nascar® RC and try again. • If your vehicle starts to lose power, it may experience loss of performance. If this happens, simply replace with new batteries. • If your vehicle moves slowly, try changing the batteries and check the wheel mechanisms for lint, thread, hair or dust. • When the transmitter range decreases, replace the battery in the controller. If 6 someone uses a CB nearby, it might interfere with control of the car. If this happens, move the car and transmitter away from the CB. Troubleshooting If your 1:10 Nascar® RC doesn’t move, please check the following potential causes: 1. The POWER switch is turned off. If that is the case, turn the POWER switch on. 2. Your 1:10 Nascar® RC is too far away from the controller. If that is the case, bring your 1:10 Nascar® RC closer to the controller. 3. The metal tab in the battery cartridge is flattened and not touching the batteries installed. If that is the case, lift up the metal tab so it touches the tip of the battery.
